Kasargod: Rice gets stuck in windpipe, woman dies

Kasargod, Aug 12: In a rare and unfortunate incident, a woman lost her life as the rice which she had eaten for dinner got stuck in the windpipe. This incident is reported from Manjeshwar near here.

Premavati (30), daughter of Narayana, a resident of Pavoorpade House, Gerukatte near Manjeshwar is the lady who lost her life in this incident.

On the night of August 9, Premavati, who got up suddenly from sleep had foam coming out from her nose. She was rushed immediately to a private hospital of Uppala. However, she died in the hospital. As per the post-mortem report, Premavati died because of the rice getting stuck in her windpipe.

    A unusal report.She went to sleep and got up suddenly with foam in nose.How could she sleep if rice stuck in windpipe?and her breathing was not disturbed?when so happens best simply raise legs up and head down under.slap gently on back ,and what ever sticked inside will come out or get chocked.RIP
