Dubai: A Day with Konkan Stars at 105.4 FM Radio Spice

Dubai, Oct 8: 105.4 FM Radio Spice promoted by Herman Lewis, and the only radio in the UAE which gives space to the coastal languages like Tulu, Konkani and Kannada, had Konkani legend singers as guests in its studio in Dubai recently.

Konkan Kogul Wilfy Rebimbus along with Konkan Maina Meena Rebimbus and Yodling King Melwyn Peris were on a visit to Dubai as a part of the ongoing gulf level sensational Konkani reality show, 'Gulf Voice of Mangalore'.

Radio Spice CEO hosted 'a Day with Konkan stars' in the studio along with Gulf Voice of Mangalore finalists from Mangalore Dony Correa and Asha Fernandes, the reality show founder from Kuwait Lawrence Pinto, co-ordinator from Mangalore and compere Leslie Rego.

Dayan D'Souza and Walter Nandalike interviewed all the artistes in the studio, which will be aired on four consecutive  Fridays,  during the 'Filter Coffee' Konkani programme on Radio spice.























On Friday October 10, 2008 between 11.30 am and 1.00 pm, the 'Gulf Voice of Mangalore Special' programme will be aired on 105.4 FM. Leslie Rego and Lawrence Pinto will talk about the show. There will also be a talk with the finalists from Dubai Dony and Asha. The interview has been conducted by Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld.com.

On Friday 17, 2008 between 11.30 am and 1.00 pm, 'Konkan Kogul Special' feature will be aired as Wilfy and Meena talk on their achievements in Konkani music. They will answer the questions from interviewer Dayan D'Souza.

On Friday 24, 2008 between 11.30 am and 1.00 pm, Melwyn Peris will talk on Konkani music and specially on his compositions and singing. Dayan D'Souza has conducted this programme.

A program on Mangalore Konkans Dubai and Voice workshop will also be aired soon. James Mendonca of Mangalore Konkans and Lancy Madtha on behalf of Voice Worksho were also present
