Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 20: Trucks will be suspending operations in the state en masse from Friday July 20 morning, as All India Motor Transport Congress has called for a strike. The truck owners have been demanding exemption from toll charges and to bring down price of diesel among other things.

The strike is likely to affect transportation of goods and vegetables resulting in shortage.

Lorry Transport Association head, Shanmugappa, said that no lorry will move about in Karnataka from Friday onward. He noted that the discussions union transport minister, Nitin Gadkari, had with the representatives of the Transport Congress on Thursday has failed. Therefore, the association has decided to go ahead with its decision to suspend operations from Friday, he explained.

Reduce triple taxation on fuel, high toll on roads which BJP claims are not used for roads but from high tax on fuel is spent on them. in that case ABOLISH Road Tax, why repeated loot by govt. , which is like killing Golden Egg Laying Hen to get all the future eggs now itself.
