Mangaluru, Jun 24: Ecologic Habitats and Transit One celebrated 'World Realtors' Day' at Hermit Crab beach resort in Someshwar here on Saturday June 23 evening.

Addressing the gathering, proprietor of Ecologic Habitats P S Mohammed said, "The main intention of organizing this event is, I want to see the enthusiasm among realtors. I want this to celebrate Realtors' Day every year. My gratitude to all the brokers because of whom I have been able to rise to this level. Realtors' Day is on June 9, though we are celebrating it today. This day is celebrated in honour and felicitate realtors. No one knows about this day in Mangaluru and this is the first time in Mangaluru that we are celebrating it. I want this celebration to be taken forward and be celebrated in a bigger way in future."

Realtor Pramod said, "We thank P S Mohammed for organizing such a wonderful event. It has become difficult for realtors to sell properties like resorts and flats. In any corporate company, the CEO, manager and executives etc or their salaries change as time passes, and it happens because they educate themselves, build good relations with others, improve their leadership qualities which makes them move on to the next level in career. Real estate is harder, we should work as a team, maintain quality in handling, and study the different avenues that can help us achieve success."

Realtor Roger said, "I thank P S Mohammed for giving us a wonderful opportunity to meet the group of realtors of Mangaluru today. As you know, the market is day by day becoming more and more complicated. Realtors have a responsibility as people look up to the real estate professionals for good properties. Even the buyer or seller need realtors these days, so day by day the market is becoming more professional.

"We need to improve our skills. With real estate becoming more professional, we need to be disciplined and responsible realtors. We need to have knowledge about the property. We need to visit the property before selling it to the client, so that we know the positive and negative of the land and get an idea about how to move forward. The whole world has become digital. There is a lot of competition, we need to improve ourselves and have a regular interaction meet so that all the realtors can share their experiences with each other, which will help us grow," he said.

"One thing to remember is properties are not cheap. Every property in Mangaluru is Rs 50 lac-plus, and buyers are not fools. One property cannot be sold for 10 different prices, and end of the day they prefer brokers who they trust and who do not think of buyers as fools. You can never get away with cheating or overpricing, and when you do that, it will be the last time they will have a deal with us. Realtors should start thinking out-of-the-box and constantly improve," he added.

Realtor Jean stressed that trust was the important aspect for realtors as once trust is broken, the client will never return to the same broker.

A lucky draw was held, which was won by Abdul Munnar.

The event was compered by Prathik Shetty.
