Mumbai: BSKB Association holds summer camp for children

Mumbai, Jun 21: The youth wing of BSKB Association, Gokula held a three day long summer camp for children at 'Ashraya' home for the aged here, from June 15.

The camp was set in motion in the presence of association vice president Vaman Holla, secretary Anantapadmanabha Pothi, office bearers, executive committee members and children after lighting the lamp and reciting a prayer on June 15.



The workshop began the next day morning. Sahana Pothi taught Bhajans, Prashanth Herle outdoor games, Prema Rao and Prasad Ninjoor Kannada, Neeraja Bhat Sanskrit, Chandravathi a short skit, Krithi Chadaga dances, Tanvi Rao Yakshagana, Rachita Rao Chat pat chat preparations and Shalini Udupa, Rashmi Bhat and Saroja Satyanarayana trained children in handicraft making.

The camp concluded with narration by honorary treasurer and youth wing president Haridas Bhat in the presence of secretary A P K Pothi, Ashraya convener Chandravathi Rao and executive committee. The office bearers thanked the teachers and activists who cooperated in the success of the camp. Haridas Bhat wished the children who participated in the camp well and hoped that more of them would take part in future camps. He congratulated the youth wing and women's wing workers who meticulously planned the camp and thanked them.
