Dion D'Souza from Kalmady elected ICYM president of Udupi diocese

Udupi, Jun 17: Dion D'Souza of Kalmady church has been unanimously elected as president of Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Udup diocese for the year 2018-19.

The election and annual meeting was held on Sunday June 17 at Don Bosco Hall, Mother of Sorrows Church premises here.

Fr Reginald Pinto, director of Sampada was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he said, "Young leaders must work for the betterment of the youth. Sampada (social service commission of Udupi ) will work hand in hand with ICYM in the coming days."

Fr Edwin D'Souza, director, ICYM Udupi diocese conducted the election procedures. He also administered the oath to the new office-bearers.

Vice-president - male : Melroy D'Silva

Vice-president - female : Sandra Rebeiro

General secretary : Sarah D'Souza

Joint secretary : Linette Carvalho

Treasurer : Jeevan D'Souza

Auditor : Neil Abraham Barnes

PRO : Michelle D'Souza

Nominated member - male : Elson D'Douza

Nominated member - female: Roshni Linette Quadros

Regional representative - male : Oniel Andrade

Regional representative - female : Shainey Alva

Kalyanpur deanery president : Aral Aldrin John D'Souza

Karkal deanery president : Clinton Cardoza

Shirva deanery president : Jackson Cabral

Udupi deanery president : Vilton D'Souza

Kundapur deanery president :Aldrin D'Souza

Immediate past president : Sharlin D'Sa

Animator : Leslie Aroza

Former president Sharlin D’sa welcomed the gathering. Renson Alva read annual report. Newly-elected president Dion D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
