Karkala: Knocked down by bus, motor bike rider loses life

Karkala, May 27: In an accident which happened at Ayyappa Nagar in Kukkundoor village hear here, a bus hit a motor bike, killing the rider instantly. The accident had happened on the night of Friday May 25.

The deceased has been identified as Hariyanna Nayak. The bus in question which was moving towards the town from the direction of Udupi reportedly hit the motor bike that was coming from opposite direction. Hariyanna, who was critically injured in the accident, was taken to Manipal Hospital but he did not survive the journey to Manipal, it is learnt.

A case relating to this accident was registered in the town police station here.
