Bengaluru: Mamata Banerjee annoyed at faulty traffic planning - complains to DGP

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 24: Firebrand chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, who had come to the city to attend the swearing-in ceremony of H D Kumaraswamy as chief minister of Karnataka in a bid to display unity of forces opposed to BJP, in fact, got angry at the erratic traffic planning at the site of the ceremony.

The ceremony was organized in front of Vidhana Soudha and Banerjee had to walk some distance to reach the venue after alighting from her vehicle. She noticed that several vehicles had been blocking access to the place where the ceremony was held. Sources said that Banerjee complained to state director general of police (DGP) Neelamani Raju about this. It could be seen that Mamata was agitated at the state of affairs at the venue and was seen speaking to the DGP. She also animatedly talked to H D Deve Gowda and Nationalist Congress Party president, Sharad Pawar, and it was almost certain that she was explaining about the improper traffic arrangement.

Just before moving to her seat, Mamata, who seemed to be having a grouse on this issue, was found to be speaking to some other leaders. However, the way she greeted people and the leaders present there thereafter, suggested that words of Deve Gowda and other leaders had succeeded in pacifying her.

People from other states have migrated to Bengalore i.e. Maharashtrians, Punjabis, Rajasthanis, Gujaratis, Tamilians, Telugus, Odias, Sindhis, and Bengalis. So naturally traffic will increase. Modi just promised that he will create jobs for youngsters.

    Joy-son,
Great! Forgetting your own roots in my opinion is being ungrateful. You keep returning to the “worst city” that has not abandoned you though you are unkind to the city which probably shaped your destiny. If you do not have nice things to say, please do not say anything at all.

    Wah Joyson wah!!!
Instead giving some ideas how the system implemented in Singapore ,you are just making the situation worse. This is what many like you do,you enjoy vacation and then go.Never share the ideas.Nowadays its easy you can tag rto ,police on twiiter ,fb.Give suggestions.

Please dont call Bengaluru filthy ,its shows your pride in your statements .For us its abooming city ,people like it so its getting crowded. That's the reason our former CM started kannadisation ,so as to support locals to get out of their insecurities.

We are hoping to stretch into greater Bengaluru ,lets see what s in there for all of us from new government.

Love ur home, you ll start loving surroundings,
Love your surroundings ,you ll start loving the streets ,
Love your streets ,you ll start loving your city,
Love your city, you ll start loving your state,
Love your state ,you ll Ultimately love your country.

Those who say I love my country and donot keep the surroundings clean are also a extra waste adding in our country.

First check the traffic in narrow bylanes of Kolkata and then complain about Bangalore. Kolkata is full of polluting under maintained Ambassador taxis. It's almost like a walk back in time.
One entire flyover had fallen down in the heart of Kolkata during her reigns and may people lost lives. This is how she manages her home but has the audacity to complain about already cramped up Vidhan Soudha and its premises. It's people like her who showed up that is responsible for crowding for an otherwise all Karnataka affair.

There was another video that on TV channels now, where she was shouting at HDK and his father. She apparently was insulted and left the venue in a hurry stating ' ''insulted....I am leaving...sorry for leaving'. Both father and son were pacifying her hands folded. Slowly its turning to be that the Cong has made a big mistake by supporting JDS. All the nationwide Anti BJP opposition want Cong and its leaders out. Mamtadi & CB Naidu have also openly stated that they are in Ktaka as HDK invited them and not Cong.

I had been to Kolkata and nereby places a couple of times before, it was the most worst place i have seen ever.
After independence every city developed in India, Kolkata is on a reverse gear.
The most crowded, filth, mismanaged, cycle rikshaw everywhere, nobody knows where this city is going.
And the rest part of Bengal is even pathetic, Mamta should better have focus on this instead of poking her nose in another state's VIP arrangements.
    Arrogance at its best
