Mangaluru: Fake voting - case against 11 students from Kerala

Mangaluru, May 14: 11 students who are residents of some areas of Kerala bordering Karnataka state, who are studying in various institutions in the city, have been accused of fake voting. Kadri police have registered a case in this connection.

Students named in the complaint are Nibhiya Thomas, Merin Mary, K V Jose, Steephie John, Ciji Biju, Remya Jose, Remil Reju, Poornendu, V S Ramya Ram, Anjali Tom and Liji George. These students have been accused of having their names in the electoral rolls in Kerala and also registering themselves as voters in the city (south) constituency.

The police have registered case against them under different provisions of IndianPenal Code and Representation of People's Act.

    Very few are got caught.If any authorities check it properly in all the hostels where these Kerala Students are staying most of them have voter id of Karnataka.
    these Hostel students are voting from so many years all ex students too were voting.
