Puttur: Unidentified gang stabs auto rickshaw driver in Kadaba

Puttur, May 13: An auto rickshaw driver was brutally stabbed by a gang here in Nekkithadka under Kadaba police station limits on Sunday May 13.

The victim has been identified as Umesh, a resident of Mardala.

Umesh was going towards Mardala from Kadaba when the group in a red car started following his auto rickshaw. The gang waylaid his auto near Bajinadi cross and attacked him. They chased him for over 200 meters when he tried to escape. The gang stabbed him near Nekkithadka Dargah and escaped from the spot.

The victim has been shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

SP Ravinkanthe Gowda visited the spot and inspected.

Kadaba police are further investigating the case.

    First of all, they had to withdraw from contesting after lucrative offer from an opponent. Second, even after consolidating votes by withdrawal, the winning chances are very feeble. They are quenching these frustrations by attacking innocents like Umesh.

    Dear Jevan,
    I agree with you 50%. After Godhra there was riots and thousands of innocents were killed. Due to the proper action from Supreme Court and SIT, most of the terrorist are punished. Due to this there is peace in Gujrat. If the criminals get punishment immediately, there will be peace.
