'Thapki...' actor excited about Bollywood debut


Mumbai, Apr 27 (IANS): Actor Vikas Chaudhary, who has appeared in TV shows like "Thapki Pyar Ki", "Hitler Didi" and "Saraswatichandra", is looking forward to making his Bollywood debut.

He will be seen in the film "Kashi to Kashmir".

"I'm happy, excited and feel blessed to make my debut in Bollywood with a movie that deals with a social issue. I'll be playing the role of Shivanand," Vikas said in a statement.

"Shivanand lost his childhood in the 1990s' exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. As a kid, he experienced the horrific rape and murder of his mother," he added.

The movie is directed by Sanoj Mishra and produced by Deepak Pandit. It also stars actors like Omkar Das Manikpuri and Govind Namdev.

Johnny Baweja to produce film on special child

Actor Johnny Baweja, who featured in "A Scandall", is set to produce a film titled "Rainbow Jelly" that revolves around an autistic orphan child, played by a real life special child.

"He doesn't deserve to be pitied. He deserves to be a hero. And he's going to be an inspiration to so many special children. He's done a great job, he's very intelligent! This movie will make you laugh, cry, hate, love, it takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride," Johnny said in a statement.

"When you make a movie, you have to choose whether you want to make a good film or a good project. I believe in making a good film. Revenues will follow," he added.

The actor has also finished directing his English short film "Aamir Ira" that sheds light on the complications caused in the relationship of an expat couple due to the present situation of immigrants in the US.

Karishma Sharma to share screen space with Kunaal

Actress-model Karishma Sharma has bagged the lead role in director Vishal Mishra's upcoming movie "Hotel Milan" opposite actor Kunaal Roy Kapur.

The actress said in a statement that her role in "Hotel Milan" is a complete contrast to her character in "Ragini MMS", an erotic-horror web series.

Karishma, who made her television debut with "Pavitra Rishta", shared the upcoming movie is based on the anti-Romeo squad of Uttar Pradesh and has an "intriguing storyline".
