Bantwal, Apr 19: A day after Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister and Congress candidate from Bantwal Ramanath Rai sought blessings from ailing senior party leader Janardhan Poojary, Kaup MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake from Udupi met the veteran politician and sought his blessings for the upcoming Karnataka elections.
Vinay Kumar Sorake will be contesting the elections from Kaup constituency. The BJP is yet to announce his opponent.
Sorake met Janardhan Poojary at his residence in Bantwal and asked after his health. He then sought his blessings by touching his feet.
Wishing him success in the elections, Poojary told Sorake, "True to your name, you are humble politician who has brought about a sea change in your constituency Kaup with your development works. You have been in regular touch with the the people. I am confident you will not face any hurdle in your march to victory."
As Sorake was leaving, Poojary walked the MLA to his car.
