Moodbidri, Apr 17: Dissent within the BJP over candidate selection ahead of assembly elections continued even on Tuesday with one of the ticket aspirants from Moodbidri Jagadish Adhikari and party workers locking their party office for issuing ticket to Umanath Kotian.

Lashing out at the BJP, district vice-president Jagadish Adhikari addressing a press meet in Moodbidri on April 17, said, "We are deeply hurt by the candidate selection. There were three other ticket aspirants including myself who strived hard for the growth of the party. But now Umanath Kotian has been declared as the candidate of Moodbidri. If the party suffers in the assembly polls under Umanath, what will the party do?"

"We cannot accept this move by our party. I am a loyal worker of the party. But the party has decided to field a losing candidate like Kotian. This is one of the most dignified constituencies and ticket selection has hurt workers. We will discuss the issue with our senior leaders and take a final decision on quitting," he added.

Jagadish and the workers locked the BJP office as Umanath had not visited it after announcement of the candidates. "He should have visited the office and won people's trust by working in favour of them, which he did not," Adhikari alleged.

Arun Kumar Puttila and Ashok Kumar Rai, BJP ticket aspirants in Puttur have also expressed displeasure over selection of Sanjeev Mathandoor.

BJP highcommand taken right decision on moodbidiri constituency. Umaanath kotian very simple , innocent , hard worker and good attitude person. In politics this type of people come up and we should support. Adhikari you are saying you loyalty to the party but why you are messing this way. If you are loyalty to the party then support respect the party high-command decision.

I think these people are so selfish that they look for self improvement only. They are and want to be in politics only to make money and not to serve public. If they are so interested in serving people, there is no need or essential to enter politics. These are selfish people. They praise any party as far as they are benefitted and once they are declined of Ticket they blame the party. Politics has become way of income these days. Every one is running after money and i dont think even 0.1 percent of politicians are sincere and interested in public service without expecting any personal favor.

If the founder member and stalwart, Advaniji who has toiled for the BJP party has not only been sidelined but no where his photos are visible in BJP offices; then Mr. Adikari, what recognition one will get from BJP. Just use and throw. This is the mind set of any fascist organisation irrespective of political party.

Hahahaha.....High drama and good entertainment in BJP camp. Everybody want ticket in BJP. Corrupt people like Yeddi, Reddy and rapist Halappa, Renukacharya only can get the ticket BJP ticket. As i noticed BJP has given the tickets for only losing candidates like Umanath Kotian, Matanadoor, Rajesh Shenoy. Till now BJP was winning on so called Modi waves but now Modi waves we can see only in Arabian sea. Great going !

    Jai Congress........

I already mentioned 'so called Modi wave'.
Now Modi has lost his credibility and he is irrelevant in Indian politics. Now people of this country has decided to throw out the rapists from the country. Today a BJP neta has thrown out from the local train by the passengers in Mumbai because a small 10 year old girl was travelling in the same compartment of the train. This is the treatment BJP leaders going to get in coming days for their sick mentality.
