Bengaluru: Sezari’s ‘Baandhavya’ captures hearts of audience

Bengaluru, Feb 15: Sezari Konkani Association’s ‘Baandhavya 2018’ held at St John’s Auditorium in Koramangala gere on February 11 was a mighty success as spectators from various parts of Dakshina Kannada settled in the city packed the auditorium for an evening filled with wit, humor and just the right amount of theatre.

The programme began at 5.15pm with the welcome note from compere Geo D’Silva popularly known as Geo Agrar who came from Bantwal to compere ‘Baandhavya 2018’, which was followed by a welcome dance by Remona Pereira, a born dancer pursuing her education in Mangaluru. The programme was inaugurated by lighting of lamp by platinum sponsor Cyril Nandan Nazareth, M D, Arnold Consulting Pvt Ltd; Anand Edward D’Souza, chairman, FKCA; Dr Fulton, HOD, pediatrics department, St John’s Medical College Hospital; Fr Faustine L Lobo, national director, PMS; and Leena Lobo, president, Sezari.



In her inaugural speech, Leena Lobo welcomed the audience and reiterated the purpose of ‘Baandhavya 2018’. She said, Sezari Konkani Association affiliated with FKCA, organized ‘Baandhavya 2018’ to bring together residents of Dakshina Kannada settled in Bengaluru for a tasteful evening of joy and laughter. Sezari works for the enrichment of the member families through socio-economic and cultural programs. She thanked all the donors, well-wishers and audience for supporting Sezari in their moral cause of providing assistance to children with cancer and critical illness, by contributing to a fund – ‘Child for Life’ in collaboration with the department of pediatrics of St John’s Hospital and in establishing a new fund exclusively for children with cancer.

All the donors and sponsors were felicitated by the president and executive members of Sezari. Devadas Kapikad and Remona V Pereira were felicitated with a shawl, flowers, fruits and a memento from Sezari.

The splendid performance by Devdas Kapikad’s team in the Tulu drama ‘Kode Budpale’ tickled the entire audience with laughter and entertainment.

Remona V Pereira made a place in the hearts of the spectators through her three electrifying dance performances.

Anand D’Silva, former president of Sezari, rendered the vote of thanks. The final attraction of the show was a bumper lucky draw of a brand new Honda Activa which was won by William Pinto.

It was an evening well spent with family and friends with full entertainment.
