Mangaluru, Jan 28: In a provocative statement, Jagadish Shenava, district president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Sunday January 28 said, "Basheer was killed as revenge to the murder of innocent Deepak Rao. So we do not have any concern for Basheer's death."

He was speaking at the launch ceremony of the book 'Hadedavvana Shapa' at T V Raman Pai Hall here.

"Recently Basheer was murdered in revenge for the killing of Deepak Rao. Media reported that an innocent Muslim has been killed.

"But innocent Deepak Rao was hacked to death before Basheer's murder. We need not have concerns about Basheer's death as he was killed in revenge for Deepak's murder. If Sharath Madivala could be killed to settle scores for the murder of Ashraf, then why Basheer should not be murdered as retribution for Deepak's killing?" he questioned.

"Let the newspapers carry my statements and let cases be filed against us. We are ready to face anything. The society has gone totally bad. In such a scenario, it is our duty to protect a section that is ready to respond to the bad things happening to us. I say this openly," he declared.

If Sharath could be killed in revenge, why not the first victim should Jagadish Shenava? Why does only innocent has to die for this polarisation of vote bank in the name of religion?
He is the district president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. In his whole life he has not done anything for poor Hindus other inciting them for revenge killings.
Being lawyer he himself should know that Under IPC Section 506, it is criminal offence.Whoever commits the offence of criminal intimidation shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
1. Now he is officially on record, why the state Home Minister and law enforcement need to wait for?
2. How many more innocent heads need to roll down to end this madness of killing and justifying the killings?
3. Is glorifying the murders is part of Hinduism he is been preaching?
This man is hell bent on giving bad name century old religion using it as his personal property. It is time to retrospect Hindus distance themselves from these leaders who made business out of religon.

In Hindu’s we have something called as Rebirth, Sometimes I feel why some people are blessed and some are cursed, what wrong they have done, why god has given such a life to them for eg: handicapped, beggars etc etc, If we do good when we are blessed things will be even better when we have rebirth , I cannot imagine where will these politicians land, Have some knowledge about the Hindu religion and lead a good life so that you can be have a even better life in when you take birth again. Don’t play politics with dead bodies.

Dear Jagadish Shenava,

Yes you are right. Basheer was murdered in revenge for the killing of Deepak Rao.

But who are the sufferers. Definitely not you people who just give speeches just for publicity.

Mother looses her child, wife looses her husband and the children looses their father.

Find out who are the culprits behind the killers and give justice for their family instead of giving speeches.
