Mangaluru: 39-year-old man murdered at Tannirbavi, gang war suspected

Mangaluru, Jan 22: A man was murdered near the church at Tannirbavi here on Monday, January 22.

The deceased has been identified as Shivaraj (45) from Bengre.

As per details available, Shivaraj is the brother of rowdy-sheeter Bharatesh. Shivaraj was murdered to settle scores with Bharatesh, it is believed. 

Shivaraj was murdered at around 5 in the morning on the terrace of his house near the church. It is said that three unidentified persons came to Shivaraj's house and killed him while he was sleeping. 

Bharatesh is a suspect in Bejai Raja murder. 

The body has been shifted to hospital for post-mortem.

The police have already taken one person into custody for questioning.

    Now South Kanara has become a crime city ... we could hear murder/chain snatching/sand mafia /drug mafia .... and what not.... Our Police dept. is under heavy pressure and trying to resolve the cases as early as possibleeca...

    still these criminal minded thugs fight and create tension among common citizens... all because no jobs, limited income, more expenditure to lead life and zero patience to think and solve without any fighting... Only God should save our city ... and many readers try to add ghee to these fire as hindu, muslim, christian and linking politics... pl don't try to do this ... don't bring any link to religion for gang wars and family problems...

    On One hand people are is screaming that human values decrease day by day and the same people are justifying the murder in the name of religion. Whether it is a Hindu , Muslim or Christians, No body is at loss except the family of the victim.

    Young generation. They do not know what they are doing. Dead person gone for his family and friends. No more available. Murdered may or may not be caught by police. Still he will be suffering throughout his life. His sins will kill him and also his family members. It will hunt him all his life.
