Bengaluru: BJP calls CM anti-backward classes for opposing NCBC

Bengaluru Jan 15 (DHNS): BJP Backward Classes Morcha national president Dara Singh Chauhan on Sunday accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of being anti-backward classes for opposing the Centre's move to grant Constitutional status to the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC).

Speaking after inaugurating the executive committee meeting of State BJP OBC Morcha here, Chauhan said the true colours of the Congress in general and the chief minister in particular have been exposed when they opposed the Centre's move.

The Congress has always used the OBCs and the Dalits as vote bank. It is least bothered about their welfare, he charged. Leader of the Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Council K S Eshwarappa said many of the BJP and the RSS workers who were killed in the recent days belonged to backward classes.

Siddaramaiah did not bother to visit the families of those who were killed. But, he recently met the family members of a Muslim youth who was killed in Dakshina Kannada district, he added.

Instead of taking action against those who are targetting the BJP and the RSS workers, Siddaramaiah has called these organisations as terrorists. The chief minister should apologise for his comments. Otherwise, the Hindus will ensure that his party is defeated in the coming Assembly election, he warned.
