Bengaluru: You can learn a lot from our state, CM Siddaramaiah tells Adityanath in tweet

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jan 8: Chief minister Siddaramaiah in a sharp attack on his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath on Sunday January 8 said that the UP chief minister has a lot to learn from Karnataka.

The twitter war of words between the two CMs arose over the issue of starvation deaths and farmer suicides.

It all started after Adityanath launched a scathing attack against Siddaramaiah for calling himself a Hindu and Siddaramiah replied by telling Yogi about the Karnataka model of governance with a reference to a reported starvation death in UP. Yogi in reply reminded Siddaramiah of failings in Karnataka by pointing at farmer suicides.

Siddaramaiah tweeted, "I welcome UP CM Shri @myogiadityanath to our state. There is a lot you can learn from us Sir. When you are here please visit a Indira Canteen & a ration shop. It will help you address the starvation deaths sometimes reported from your state. #YogiInBengaluru."

Yogi Adityanath was in the state on Sunday to participate in BJP's state-wide Parivartana Yatra.

"Let Yogi Adityanath set right the jungle raj in Uttar Pradesh first, save the children dying in hospitals before advising us," Siddaramaiah said in an earlier tweet.

Later in the night, Yogi Adityanath replied to Siddaramaiah.

"Thank you for the welcome @siddaramaiah ji. I heard number of farmers committing suicide in Karnataka was highest in your regime, not to mention the numerous deaths and transfer of honest officers. As UP CM I am working to undo the misery and lawlessness unleashed by your allies," the UP CM tweeted.

Earlier in the day, Adityanath attacked Siddaramaiah during BJP's Parivartana Yatra in Bengaluru and questioned him as to why he was promoting beef if he was a true Hindu as he claimed. He had further said that Siddaramaiah realized that he is Hindu only because elections are ahead.

When CM Yogi is in Karnataka for BJP's campaign, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh faced an embarrassing situation on Saturday as quintals of potatoes were thrown by the farmers in front of the Vidhan Sabha building and outside Chief Minister's residence.
The VIP and high-security zone in front of the state assembly building was strewn with potatoes in the morning.
In latest news a major fire broke out at the Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur on 8 January. The fire gutted the principal's office and an adjacent record room of the state-run BRD Hospital here, the fire department said.
The Baba Raghav Das Medical College made headlines last year after almost 100 children, including several infants, died at the facility. Some of the deaths were blamed on a shortage in oxygen after supply was allegedly disrupted due to non-payment of dues to the vendor. The state government has, however, vehemently denied that a lack of oxygen led to the deaths.
In order close the Oxygen death now records office on fire?

Big salute to our CM. He has given the very brilliant reply to UP CM whose state is full of corruption, murder etc etc.

UP CM is talking about Karnataka's farmers. Where was UP CM when UP farmers have kept a tones of unsold potatoes in front of his house....... ? where 74 infants have died due to oxygen insufficiency ?

Karnataka hospitals having the best medical facilities....... UP CM should learn from Karnataka. In UP women are being gang raped in daylight and no arrest and also there is no protection for women..... that CM has no right to talk about Karnataka where people live in peace.

BJP and all RSS stressing State govt to ban beef but you have majority in UP, why you cant be example by first banning in your state and advising to other states.

Certainly UP has to learn from Karnataka. Karnataka actually provides shelter and jobs to all these UP bhaiyyas in construction and food selling. If Yogi has power, let him take measures to educate them and make them professionals. May i also remind that Bangalore is IT capital of our country which provides job to so many people.
UP has a population of nearly 20 crores, instead of working for their education, basic needs and development this baba is interfering in other states and wasting time traveling gujarat and now karnataka.
Indeed as CM Siddaramiah said UP is more in need of schemes like Anna bhagya and Indira Canteen. Let him atleast learn that from his visit to Karnataka instead of talking cow politics. Bringing in religious sentiments and forgetting needs of people is really wrong. BJP has no other work than playing with religious sentiments. No religion feeds us but our hard work does.

CM Yogi Adithyanath, being a citizen of this country, can travel and stay anywhere within India. If CM Siddaramayya is welcoming him on twitter, it's just because he is the CM of another state.
If Karnataka CM is handling the twitter himself, its a bit more than a welcome message and why mention about Ration shop and starvation deaths.
Reality is that the election results, may make the CM uncomfortable, but that is the reality. CM Siddaramayya, has already conceded that popularity has taken a dent and facing Karnataka electorate is a challenge now.
