Udupi, Dec 18: The eighth annual day of Trinity Central School, Perampalli was celebrated on Saturday 16 December at the school premise. Dr Sukanya Martis, principal of Poornaprajna Evening College was chief guest for the celebration. From little tiny tots to high school children, excitement of the school day celebration was very much visible.

On the occasion, Dr Sukanya Martis said, "School day is a very important occasion for a school as it reflects the students' talents. Giving a better future to children is the intention of teachers and parents. We all strive hard for this. Parents also have the responsibility to develop good culture in their children."

She also advised parents to give freedom to the child to choose his/her own curricular in which he/she is interested.



Fr Salvodore Fernandes, rector Darshan College Bengaluru presided over the function. In his presidential remark Fr Salvodore said, "Trinity Central School is striving hard to provide good education, good discipline, good character to its students. Education is not just to fetch a job but to live a good character. Character formation must be the goal of education. And this is given in all our Capuchin Friars educational institutions."

Proficiency awards and endowment scholarships for meritorious students were given on the occasion.

This year Trinity Central School has been given permanent accreditation by ICSE board Delhi. Academic coordinator Magdaline Lewis presented the annual report of the school.

Fr Anil D'costa, principal Fr Wilson Sequiera, vice principal Fr Claude Mascarenhas, correspondent Maxim D'Souza, PTA president Neil D'Souza, school SPL were present on the occasion.

Fr Anil D'Costa expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all who worked for the development of the school. PTA members, donors, benefactors were felicitated on the occasion.

After the formal stage function a fun filled cultural programme was presented by the student. 800 Trinitians showcased their talents in the form of dance and plays. Students danced to Hindi, Punjabi, Konkani, Tulu, Kannada hits.
