Kundapur, Dec 12: “While there is positive breeze of change in the country, Karnataka state is going backwards step by step. Even a small child who sees the dead body of Honnavar Paresh can say that it was murder. But the police superintendent there, decides that it is a natural death. Though communal forces in the state are celebrating, the government is hesitating to take action. There were more than twenty murders of Hindus during the rule of Congress,” said BJP national co-organizing secretary B L Santhosh G expressing anguish.

He was speaking after inaugurating the office of BJP in Byndoor.

He hoped that the beginning of Byndoor office may lead to a change. “The murder of Gauri Lankesh is entangled in the legs of Congress, communists and thinkers. BJP government in the state had provided several programmes in the past. But the Congress government creates an atmosphere of fear showing that nobody in the state is safe. The irrigation minister instead of solving problems concerning irrigation is creating a rift between Lingayats and Veerashaivas,” he alleged.

State BJP executive member B M Sukumar Shetty said that Congress MLA had been MLA in Byndoor for 18 years but he could not provide basic facilities in the constituency. “Though there are five rivers flowing in the constituency, there is a problem of drinking water here. If Byndoor should be made a model constituency, BJP candidate will have to win here,” he said.

Vidhana Parishat member Kota Srinivas Poojary, district BJP president Mattaru Rathnaker Hegde, secretary Suresh Nayak, Yashpal Suvarna, zilla panchayat members Shobha G Putran, Babu Hegde, Suresh Batwadi and Shanker Poojary were present.

Byndoor BJP president Sadananda Uppinakudru welcomed everyone. State BJP executive member B M Sukumar Shetty delivered the keynote address.
