Mangaluru: Kudla Premier League from Dec 19 - Team jerseys launched

Mangaluru, Dec 10: Cricket fans are set for an action-packed time ahead with this Mangaluru's own Kudla Premier League (KPL), now in its third season, all set to begin.

The day-and-night underarm cricket league will be held from December 19 to 24 at Urwa cricket ground.

Tulu film producer Pammi Kodialbail along with other dignitaries launched the team jersies in a sparkling event held on Friday December 8 Friday at Adyar hills here. The event was organised by Friends Urwa.

Biruver Kudla, SDC Warriors, Urwa Bulls, Jugari Warriors, Red Hawks Mundana and Silverfox Kudla are the six that will vie for the trophy in KPL Season 3.

Gautham Kodikal, Rakesh Poojary, Pradeep Kottary, Ganesh Chilimbi, Alwyn, Mohammed Ashraf, Ronald Pinto, Rajesh Alape, Prashanth, Navneeth Dambel, Tilak Urwa and others were present.

RJ Roopesh compered the programme.

The winner of the tournament will take home a prize money of Rs 3 lac and the trophy, while the second runner-up will get Rs 2 lac. The man of the series will be awarded Rs 1 lac and man of the match will get Rs 25,000.
