Bengaluru, Nov 23: Nithyananda Swami, who has his Dhyana Peetha, a meditational centre, at Bidadi near here is again in the news for wrong reasons. A report of the forensic science laboratory at New Delhi had confirmed that the person found indulging in sex with a cine actor was indeed Swami Nithyananda. The report, which is old, has now come into the open.

The officials of criminal investigation department here, who were investigating this case, had received this report about seven years back. The report had also been submitted to the court. No one knows why this report has suddenly surfaced in the public now, who has done it, and for what purpose. The said report had confirmed that the two persons captured in the sex act in the video were the Swami and his disciple, film actress Ranjitha.

In March 2010, report that Swami Nithyananda and Ranjitha had sex together in the said Ashram surfaced and the video purporting to be connected with this act had flooded the internet. There been public outcry against the self-styled spiritual leader then, and a case had been filed in Bidadi police station. A court in Ramanagara is currently hearing this case.

Criminal investigation department to which this case was entrusted, had investigated the case and filed charge sheet against Swami Nithyananda. The department had then asked forensic science laboratory to examine and find out whether the persons found in the video clip were Swami Nityananda and Ranjitha. The laboratory had submitted its report confirming about the genuineness of the CD and identities of the two persons the same year. The scene was captured ostensibly by people close to the Swamiji who later parted ways, by using spy camera.
