Mangaluru: Ganja consumption - four held, vehicle seized

Mangaluru, Nov 22: In a joint operation conducted on Tuesday November 21, police personnel of Urwa station and anti-rowdy squad of the central sub-division raided a spot near Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation depot at Kuntikan here. Four youngsters consuming ganja were arrested.

Sangam Shenoy and Atheek Shetty from Konchady in the city, as well as Siddesh and Satwik from Urwa Store were the ones found consuming ganja illegally in a public place. They were taken into possession in an operation that was undertaken based on reliable information. A two-wheeler was also seized from their possession.

The policemen said that tests conducted on the foursome confirmed that they had consumed this banned substance. A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered at Urwa police station against them.
