Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Oct 24: Out of five persons named as accused in the famous case pertaining to the murder of NRI entrepreneur from here, Bhaskar Shetty, two were released on bail long back. The other three continue to be in judicial custody.

Judge of the district and sessions court, Venkatesh Naik, read out the charges framed against the persons named accused in the case on Monday October 23. The accused denied the charges. Therefore, the judge adjourned the case to November 28 for fixing date of further hearing.

Prime accused during previous court hearing

Rajeshwari Shetty (51), Navneet Shetty (21) and Niranjan Bhat (26), were brought by the Manipal police from Shivamogga district prison where they had been lodged, as they were to be presented in the court here. After the court process was over, they were led back to Shivamogga. They had been transferred to Shivamogga prison due to security concerns, after Navneet and Niranjan were attacked inside Mangaluru prison on September 11 by fellow prisoners.

When the three accused were presented in the court on August 21, they had been brought in a private air-conditioned car. This incident gave rise to deliberations on using private vehicle instead of police van for bringing them to court then. Three police personnel were also suspended relating to this controversy. The police department, learning from the previous experience, took care to bring the trio from Shivamogga in a police vehicle this time. It was observed that the three, who were well-dressed when they came to court last time, were wearing simple clothes on Monday.

Niranjan's father, Srinivas Bhat (57) and car driver, Raghu (26), who face charges of destruction of evidence, too were present in the court. Investigating officer in the case, police inspector of Manipal station, Sudarshan, was in the court. Public prosecutor, Shanthibai, presented the case on behalf of the prosecution.

Why can't the Karnataka Govt., tie up with the state govt., here just like the universities have partnerships like first 2 years in India & then the rest 2 years & the degree here. In that case all three would be coming here after finishing initial trial and then the final trial and judgement and punishment is going to be here. In that case we can save so many Bhasker Shetty's. It's a clear case of "Lie in wait" just like Aarushi case.

I can see glow in Rajeshwari's face. Where's this glow coming from? This is a lesson for future Bhaskar Shetty's not to accumulate too much wealth which could take their life. Also it should be noted that the accused initially agreed and now denying the charges.

We need a constitutional amendment to fast track certain kind of cases so as tax payers money is saved in bringing the under trails to court hearings , deploying police personnel for under trails , money spent in feeding the under trails , constructing new jails to accommodate more under trails so on ....

Here no point in blaming judges or judiciary . Judiciary works based on the constitution and resources provided by the government .

PRISONERS SHOULD WEAR THEIR JAIL DRESS WHEREVER THEY GO AND SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED AS A PRISONER BUT NOT AS VIP IN A PARTY.

OUR JUDICIARY SHOULD MAINTAIN DRESS CODE FOR PRISONERS TO WEAR THEIR JAIL UNIFORM DURING THEIR COURT HEARING OR ELSEWHERE MOVEMENTS.

our law is dead , andha kanoon any body can do anything theses criminals are beaving like film shooting hero and heroins , what a blunder is, whom to belive ????? son and wife kills husband , what about indian law , in some time later no body knows the case , everything is purchased by money power. case may be closed without any witness, our indian law and order system is sold in the hands of lawyers now corrupt lawyers will fight for her money . and corrupt police officers will accumlate money from these murderors- Rajashwari and son.
this is one of the lesson to all dont accumlate crores of welth for family , when you are working enjoy the life also. and if you have surplus give somthing to poor also they will remember you for ever .

NOW HEAD OF THE FAMILY THINK TEN TIMES BEFORE ACCUMULATING CRORES WORTH ASSETS FOR THE BENEFIT OF FAMILY MEMBERS. NO ONE SURE OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

now it's like a serial ... coming to news .. at a corner. People completely forgot this incident. One day, at a corner of the magazine we may get to read Case dismissed with lack of evidences and all three will be released free. I bet on this by seeing the proceedings till now... and the speed of proceedings... What a judicial system we have... ayyo.
