Mangaluru: Blossom Lobo murder - Neighbours, family refute claims of 'illicit affair'

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Updated

Mangaluru, Aug 19: More details have emerged of the shocking murder of Blossom Lobo (31), allegedly at the hands of her husband William Lobo on the night of Friday August 18.

William Lobo (35) was arrested after he allegedly killed his wife at their residence at Kottara Chowki. The police had stated that William committed the act as he suspected her of having an 'illicit affair'.

However, her relatives and neighbours who came to the mortuary on Saturday August 19 refuted the claims of affair.

William and Blossom, both natives of Siddapur in Madikeri, were living in a rented house at Kottara Chowki here. While William is a driver with Uber, Blossom worked in a private company. The couple was blessed with a son, who is now four years old.

Blossom was the daughter of the late Felix and Maria Lobo.

Neighbours told daijiworld that the couple did not mingle much with them, and would visit their native place twice every month.

Neighbours said that they came to know about the murder only on Saturday morning.

"Blossom was a lady with a good character and there were no signs of her illicit relationship. When she went to work, she would leave her son in a baby sitting centre," a neighbour said.

A friend of Blossom said, "The allegation of illicit affair is completely baseless. I have never see her talking to anybody or having any male friendship."

Blossom's sister Sharol too echoed the same and said there was no marital discord either. "I have have never seen the couple quarrel. They would visit our house in Siddapur twice or thrice a month. Their marriage was arranged."

The body has been kept in the mortuary and the post-mortem will be done once her relatives arrive from Madikeri. So far, only her sister has come from Bengaluru.

The mortal remains will be taken to Siddapur and the final rites will be held on Sunday August 20.

Please don't judge her without knowing anything about her. Her child is Motherless now. He killed a mother not a wife . He never supported her nor cared for her. She could have divorced him before only or could have informed police when he abducted the child. He wouldn't have done all this if he had a fear of Police. He was a Coward and drunkard couldn't see her live without his support. After killing her when his Senses and dose of alcohol came down to reality he surrendered coz no way out. What a piece of shit he was. He killed my friend, I can't bear this pain. She could have lived without marriage happily because of our system telling girls to get marry soon. She got married to this psycho. Should hang him in public or should drown him in a big pot of Alcohol. We lost her now. Nothing can be done.

Me and Blossom were best friends in our P. U College life. We were in good contact after we had phones. She got married to this guy for some of her personal issues. She was with him after marriage in his house. He started continuing his old habits like drinking and partying with his friends and didn't care for her much. She then left his house and started living with her mom whom was living alone. He came there and started living there with her. She got pregnant and had a baby there. But her husband was not meeting her needs. He was fighting with her and her mother too coz He knew they were bit richer than him and no Son/Man in that property. She doesn't wanted her mom to take care her and her baby. So she left madikeri and came back to mangalore where she studied to give future for her Son. This guy came after her again and started exploiting her. She told him go out and earn to take care of his family. So he was in Bangalore and still continued his old Habits and was very worse. She was tired of him, she just kept his relation just for her Son because her Son Neil needed his Father. She was very soft and good natured girl. She was very busy with taking care of little child then how come she Could have an Affair with that little child in one hand and this fucking doubtful husband in other hand who never left her live peacefully. She had friends, relatives, and family living in mangalore then How can She go after other man when she was totally drowned with one man already. He was sick and mentally gone mad because of his lifestyle and drunkardness that is why that bastard killed her to prove that He was a Man.
My humble request to everyone who is pointing finger at her claiming she had an affair. Think of your sister, mother, daughter or friend if they had this type of death. Would you leave him? Whatever the reason no one has the right to take life. I am so sorry for her family her mother and sister who are going through this loss. God give them strength.

By the comments of her very close friends, naighbours and sister one can understand what is her nature. Media and Police give their own statement without verifying true facts. William's face only says how cruel he is. If at all he was not happy with Blossom, he should have left her to live with her own because she is a working woman and not the dependent of William. Life is given by God and he only has the right to take it back and not the idiot persons like William. Government should punish him stringently who ended a life of innocent lady Blossom and made their Angel Son like orphan now.

In the advanced countries the police are very sparing in their statements to the media on a criminal case.

The police say their investigation suggests certain motives for the crime.

ANd then leave the actual judgment to the judges.

But the uneducated Indian police rush to give statements to the media.

The Indian police do not have the authority to pass any judgments on any criminal case.

I request the relatives and friends of the victim here to file a case against the police for the defamation caused by them to the victim.

I do not want to comment anything about this case based on a mere report by police. However, In any case, killing your partner is really a crime, which is unpardonable and deserves harsh punishment….

Husband and wife relationships are like the relationship of Tom and Jerry. Though, they are teasing and fighting, but can’t live without each other. When a husband puts his wife first, above everyone and everything except God, it gives his wife the sense of security and honour that every wife hungers for….

In most of the cases, the home becomes a dangerous place for women as well as for children to live in. In almost in all cases of homicides committed by males against their female partners occurred after the female ended the relationship or announced her intention to do so. Most of the killings committed by females against their male partners were reactions to severe male domestic violence.

    RIP Blossom....

Please don't comment just by reading the police report where a culprit has given a statement after killing his wife in jealous where he couldn't talk to her nor he wanted to see her living peaceful life. The culprit people knows from his area in Coorg what kind of a crazy person he is.He is a autodruver by profession and always used to torcher his wife who was suffering from his hand. When she couldn't take him anymore she left Coorg and started to work to give good future to her son.

Violence and killing cannot solve problems of an unhappy marriage. Personally I believe marriage should be lifelong however consideration for separation and divorce should be given in certain cases like adultery or violence which could cause threat to life or limb or livelihood etc. Partners getting bored of each other or drifting apart should not be made grounds for divorcing. Reconciliation attempts must seriously be made. Sorry guys I was getting carried away with preaching.

Violence and/or killing cannot be the answer or justification for marital betrayal and heart break however excruciating the pain caused by it may be. Moreover killing is not only sinful but is a much, much more serious crime than adultery. Separation and/or divorce/annulment route should be taken if reconciliation is difficult or not possible.

Horrible ,tragic and sad.when if at all her husband has done it because of a illicit affair,is he now satisfied? But it is not yet sure.So we have to wait for further rports. One doesnt kill a person because of a affair.First clarify it,try to discuss and clear it,sure should be also ready to forgive and forget (Not so easy)and both try to lead a new life.Reasons may be many why one have a affair when husband at home is.it is not a excuse. But to kill one person, and make children motherless ,over that killing a person is a big sinn. Hope it will be cleared .May her soul rest in peace. Now he will have to spend his rest time in jail ,he may realize his mistake by then.Heartfelt sympathy to her family.
