Mangaluru: Seventh annual Karnataka State Conference of AOMSI sets off at AJIMS

Mangaluru, Aug 11: KOMSCON 2017, the two day seventh annual Karnataka State Conference of AOMSI was inaugurated in a grand way at the state of art auditorium, A J Institute of Medical Sciences on August 11.

This was the first of its kind held in the city. A record number of participants from all over Karnataka as well as the neighbouring states turned up for the event conducted under the able leadership of Dr B H Sripathi Rao, organising chairman, principal, Yenepoya Dental College and Dr Manjunath Rai, organising secretary, Prof and Head, Department of OMFS, A J Institute of Dental Sciences along with their entire organising team.

Dr A J Shetty, president of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust was the chief guest for the inaugural function, Dr S Ramananda Shetty, vice chancellor of Nitte University, Prashanth Shetty, vice – president of LMET and Dr Y Bharath Shetty, dean of A J Institute of Dental Sciences were the guests of honour.

Dr K Gopalkrishnan, President of Karnataka State Chapter, Dr R S Neelakandan, president of AOMSI head Office and Dr Pritham N Shetty, General Secretary of AOMSI head office presided over the function. The theme of the conference was 'Controversies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery'. Various eminent guest speakers who have come from all over the country will be enlightening the delegates in the next two days.
