Kundapur: Police intercept cattle traffickers, save 18 buffaloes

Kundapur, Jul 27: Gangolli police intercepted a truck carrying 18 buffaloes late night, on Wednesday, July 26 and rescued the cattle.

Gangolli police who were tipped off about buffaloes being transported towards Udupi, stopped the truck at Mullikatte near Gangolli and found the cattle being carried illegally. They arrested three persons in the truck while one person managed to run away.


    
























The operation was conducted under the guidance of Kundapur DySP Praveen Nayak.

The arrested persons revealed that buffaloes were being taken to Mangaluru meant for slaughtering.
