Bengaluru: Communal clashes, political murders - centre calls for details from state

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 25: The union government, through a letter addressed to the state government, has sought complete details of incidents of communal clashes in the state including in Dakshina Kannada district and also about the murder of 24 persons in the state presumably on account of political vendetta.

The central government appears to agree with the allegation made by opposition party in the state, BJP, claiming that highest politically motivated murders are happening in Karnataka state. Sources said that the union home ministry wrote to the state chief secretary, seeking detailed information on Tuesday July 24, based on allegations made by BJP leaders.

There is suspicion that 24 persons from the state including Sharath Madiwala from B C Road and Rudresh from Bengaluru had been killed to settle political scores. The central government wants to know about investigations conducted in these cases, arrest of culprits, and details of punishment awarded to the guilty. The chief secretary has also been asked to provide details about steps taken by the state government to control law and order situation in the backdrop of these clashes and murders.

The letter has been addressed to the state in the wake of a recent letter handed over by MP from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Shobha Karandlaje, to union home minister, Rajnath Singh, complaining about deteriorating law and order situation in Karnataka and targetting of activists of Hindu outfits and BJP in the state. She had noted that 24 murders in the state were relating to political considerations and had sought investigation by National Investigation Agency.

Under secretary in the department of home in the central government, N S Bisht, has now sought details from chief secretary of Karnataka, Subhash Chandr Khuntia, duly enclosing a copy of the letter received from MP, Shobha Karandlaje. Sources in home department said they would be collecting information relating to communal clashes in Dakshina Kannada district and murder of Sharath Madiwala from B C Road, before forwarding the same to the centre. The department wants to get details from the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district and send its resonse to the central government. The chief secretary however denied having received any such letter from the central government so far.

After 15 years of great Godhra riots, victims are still living in ghettos of what it called 'Gujarat Model'.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma has posted a picture of the 2002 Gujarat riots as that of the violence in West Bengal's Basirhat seeks to 'save Bengal'.
It is known fact that BJP is the only party benefits prior to each and every elections through communal disharmony. The seeds of hatred sow by then LK Advani through his bloody wheels of Rath Yatra is now grown to tree by Sangh Parivar to benefit it politically. Interestingly every crucial election it comes to haunt in the name of Godhra or Muzaffarnagar or Mangalore and so on.
The state Home Ministry should make comprehensive report on recent riots including the BJP sitting MP statements from Mangalore and former CM Yeddyurappa on the record who openly threatened to burn Mangalore if Hindutva accused are arrested in riot cases. They should give all the recording of Kalladka bhat and request to oust the sitting MP from Udupi for filing false report. They should also file defamation case against Shobha for giving misinformation and defaming the image of state.
Now Rai taken over by Home Minister he should act tough and have zero tolerance against these communal forces. They should also speed up the cases related to rationalist renowned Kannada writer Dr MM Kalburgi, Hubli court yard bomb blast, RTI activist murder case and so on.
Congress has already lost an golden opportunity to revive its political fortune because of its soft HIndutva approach due to its coastal leaders. If just two cases NAMO and Raghavendra mutt is investigated at least in three districts fortunes of Congress would be better.

Why are such details not asked for from the state of Uttar Pradesh? Why are details from lynching not asked for? Why are details about Vyapam scam not asked for? Shameless central government. Involved in all kinds of crimes against humanity how does it dare to ask details from the Karnataka Government? It is purely a hidden agenda. You can win elections by victimisation

What a joke central government asking for report from our state on communal riots? How did they get in the first place?. Who was accussed of mass killing in Gujraath. Who arranged procession inspite of section 144?. Who publicly said they will burn D.K?. Yeddi said publicly whole Karnataka will be burnt if K.B . was arrested. Who attacked our churches in D;K.?
Do they want more evidence? Perhaphs video recordings.
They don't care for the country, only after power and money.

Why center is so much interested in Karnataka whereas its not concerned about lynching + killing of innocents in the name of cow by bjp supported sanghi terrorists. Doest this mean whatever happened or being happened in BJP ruled states need not be questioned and whatever the terrorists doing there is just and authorised by respective state govt run by bjp.

Why you need clarification / details now?. This is nothing but the result of poison you sowed in past years by demoling masjids, attacking churches, hate speeches etc.

Instead of useless timepass, Investigate who is really promoting hatred in the society just for the sake of vote bank.
