Mangaluru, Jul 18: A delegation comprising BJP leaders from Karnataka led by state BJP president, B S Yeddyurappa, met union home minister, Rajnath Singh, at New Delhi on Monday July 17 and urged him to order probe by National Investigation Agency (NIA) into 24 unresolved politically motivated murders in Karnataka including the recent killing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist, Sharath Madiwala, at B C Road.

The delegation comprised of BJP leaders from coastal Karnataka, union minister, D V Sadananda Gowda, MPs, Shobha Karandlaje and Nalin Kumar Kateel. The leaders, who met the minister led by Yeddyurappa, also urged the home minister through a memorandum to ban organizations, Karnataka for Democracy and Popular Front of India.

The delegation claimed that after the Congress government under Siddaramaiah took over reins of Karnataka, political vendetta has become the order of the day. In addition to demanding NIA probe into the 24 politically motivated killings, it demanded for opening of a branch of NIA in the city and to pass suitable instructions to the state government about the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

Speaking to media persons after meeting the union home minister, Yeddyurappa alleged that the state government, instead of bringing the killers in these cases to book, has been shielding them. "In all cases Hindu activists were killed in the same manner. There is suspicion that the killers were provided with special training. Therefore NIA alone can bring out the truth," he stated. He said that the delegation has extracted assurance from Rajnath Singh that Sharath Madiwala murder case investigation would be entrusted to NIA.

    More than 100 people were killed and about 150 injured when a massive blast triggered by mining explosives ripped through a packed restaurant in Madhya Pradesh Jhabua district.According to Hindi paper named as Bhopal Samachar, Rajendra Kaswa who is wanted in Jhabua blast is not only BJP leader but also works for RSS.The paper published photo of Rajendra Kaswa in Khaki shorts, uniform of RSS.
    The NIA which took over 'saffron terror' case has lost many files in the past. Later issuing 'clean chit' citing no evidence.How does the premier investigation will be trusted he prime accused like Swami Aseemanand and Sadhvi confessed to the crime are getting bail?
    Why the former CM Yeddyurappa is not demanding the NIA probe in Madhya Pradesh espionage,Jhabua blast case, Hubli court yard blast,Sindgi,Bijapur for hoisting Pakistani flag by Rama Sena?
    How does BJP can compromise internal security of the nation when its own members are found in terrorism?

    RSS can murdered, lynched anyone anytime but that time MP,MLA or Central minister shut their mouth,

    But when RSS murdered by any other miscreants then they all get attention and bring NIA to here and name some organization put pressure on them to BAN

    Means only RSS workers are human? others are animals?
    They can do any type of crime (SDPI leader Ashraf Murder by BD and BD is a part of RSS)

    Sharath murder investigation under process and we urged culprits must be punished. But why RSS worker Karthika Raj murder case not pressured to give NIA? also others many cases who murdered by RSS?

    Double Role attitude definitely breaks peaceful lives in society and BJP always want communal clashes to gain some votes as well they want FIRE on society.

    Actually I am not much aware of RSS back ground. I believe they are patriotic Indians who strive to establish peace among all communities to build akhand bharat. May be they are fighting on LOC to protect mother India. Or may be they are volunteers helping the downtrodden, orphans, aged persons. I am I right ?

    we must all be careful what we wish for as sometimes what we wish to showoff and the wish comes true. i sincerely hope that the NIA takes up the case and the may be we find out that the real murderers of sharath were sanghis and it was done to create communal divide. As in many such previous cases the real culprits were sanghis, which everyone knows. I think the Public should also demand an NIA probe into the 2 murders which happened (Ashraf and Sharath) and the murderers and the affiliated organizations should be declared as enemy of state and Public and categorized as Terrorist organizations and Banned for life. also if any political parties are affiliated to those organizations even those should be banned. How is that for a Demand ??????

    Any how this Opposition Party is playing all there tricks to come in Majority in 2018, if NIA is involving to solve the unsolved cases in D.K it is good but NIA please case should be solved of all multiple community not only for the particular community, it sounds like you peoples are not beliveing our Karnataka Police force what a shame countable 4-5 peoples & regarding ban on PFI, then what about other organisation also they should also be banned why only PFI. if not for sure on or other day Almighty will Ban it. because we all belive in judgement day.

    What a paradox! When NIA was constituted by UPA govt after the Mumbai terror attacks, BJP was the first one to oppose it. Becasue NIA does not require State govt's permission to take up the cases, BJP opposed it saying it was agaisnts the Federal structure of ours. In fact the then CM of Gujarat and the present PM Modi was vociferously agaisnt NIA saying that the provision violated the constitutional separation of powers between the states and Centre. “By setting up the NIA, the Central government now obviously wants to take upon itself the responsibility of fighting terror by sidetracking the states,” Modi said at a conference of police chiefs in January 2009.

    At its national executive meet in Lucknow in June 2011, the party targeted the UPA for denting the federal structure.

    “The formation of the NIA by the home minister (P Chidambaram) is contrary to our federal spirit. Without a constitutional amendment, in the subject of law and order, it has taken away the lawmaking power of the states,” said the BJP resolutionthat also quoted Modi’s 2009 speech.

    And now very NIA is darling of the Central govt. What a hypocrite govt and PM we have! I want to know on what grounds, NIA can investigate a murder case when Law and Order is a State subject.

    It appears to be more of a press release by the party functionaries in Karnataka rather than a statement by the Central home minister.

    Under the constitutional split of responsibilities, all policing activites are the responsibility of a state government. The Centre has no role to play in it.

    However, CBI was created to help with the investigation of the bodies reporting to the central Government.

    At the request of the state governments the CBI has been used, although in most cases the exercise was nothing more than a sheer waste of money.

    The central agencies are peopled by Biharis, Keralites, etc. They have language issues.

    So, as much as the party functionaries are trying their best to bring in NIA, the benefit for the same party will be a big zero.
