Mangaluru/Bantwal, Jul 8: The mortal remains of RSS worker Sharath Madivala, who passed away on the night of Friday July 8 three days after he was brutally attacked by a group at BC Road in Bantwal, were taken in a procession from AJ Hospital here to his hometown Kandur in Sajipamunnur.

As the procession passed BC Road and was about to reach Melkar, trouble erupted as people started pelting stones at each other and at shops. There were verbal clashes too and as the situation began to go out of hand, the police resorted to mild lathi charge to disperse the crowds. Melkar and BC Road have completely shut down.

Several vehicles including three cars, an auto rickshaw and a bus were damaged in the stone-pelting. Unconfirmed sources said that one person was seriously injured.

Tense atmosphere prevailed as people resorted to stone pelting. Protest erupted as the procession passed BC Road. The protestors pelted stones at a building in Kaikamba. Stones were also pelted at some shops and vehicles in BC Road.

Traffic on the national highway was disrupted. The police deployed for security could not reach the spot of stone-pelting as the highway was closed and the situation went out of hand.

National highway was completely closed and vehicles were lined in long queues. Police teams have been stationed at BC Road, Kalladka and other sensitive places and KSRP squads have also been deployed. Western range IGP, SP, additional SP and other senior police officials have taken control of the situation and are trying hard to regulate traffic. Shops and business establishments have shut down.

In a related incident, a youth identified as Riyaz (26), a resident near Vamadapadavu, was stabbed by a group of youths who were reportedly part of the procession. As per Riyaz's statement, he and his brothers were on their way to a hospital in Mangaluru, when they were stalled by the procession. As the road was blocked, they waited for sometime, but then stone-pelting began and one stone hit Riyaz on the head. His brother got down from the bike, and just when Riyaz tried to move a little forward, a group came towards him and allgedly stabbed him on the neck. Riyaz, who has been admitted in hospital, further said that he was on the way to a hospital in Mangaluru to pay for his wife's treatment, who is also admitted. Former mayor Ashraf and others visited him.

Earlier in the day, hundreds of activists of various Hindu organizations took part in the procession with black flags tied to their two-wheelers. The entire B C Road area was covered by gloom at the death of this youngster. Over a thousand people including Sangh Parivar activists, Hindu organizations, and BJP leaders have gathered. Police personnel have been closely monitoring the situation. Over 2,000 policemen including CRPF personnel have been entrusted with he responsibility of maintaining peace and order in the taluk.

Sharath Madivala (28), who ran 'Udaya' laundry service at BC Road, was brutally attacked by a group when he was about to leave his workplace for home on the night of July 4. The attack happened despite Sec 144 being in place.

Sharath, son of Taniyappa a resident of Kandur, Sajipamunnur, was the only son to his parents. He was taking care of the laundry service all by himself and shared good rapport with other shopkeepers in the neighbourhood.

The doctors had been keenly monitoring the health condition of Sharath since the last two days, as he was fighting for his life as deep wounds inflicted on him had caused loss of blood in large quantities. Even after the doctors put in lot of effort for three days to save him, Sharath did not respond to their efforts. He was declared to have died on Friday.

Taniappa Madivala was running his 'Udaya Laundry' since the last 30 years in a rented building. As his father was aged, Sharath had taken over responsibility of running the laundry. Sharath is survived by father, mother, Nalini, and two elder sisters, one of whom is married. The other sister helps with running of laundry by working there. Sharath normally used to arrive at his laundry from his home at Kudur, Sajipamunnur village in the taluk in Maruti Omni van. People running shops in the neighbourhood of his laundry happen to be Sharath's friends. It may be noted that leaders of several political parties used to get their clothes ironed in Sharath's laundry. Sharath was friendly with everyone and did not differentiate on the basis of political ideologies, caste, or religion.

As soon social websites flashed the news of death of Sharath, an air of apprehension enveloped the entire taluk. The untimely demise of Sharath has plunged his family members, relatives, fans and activists of Hindu organization in deep grief. All of them rushed to hospital to have a glimpse of Sharath.

Already prohibitory orders under section144 are in force in the entire taluk. With the death of Sharath, security has been tightened all over. Additional police personnel have been deployed here from elsewhere. A close vigil is being maintained on the situation. The police have urged people not to lend credence fo rumours. Under the supervision of inspector general of police, Harishekaran, superintendent of police, Sudheer Kumar Reddy, and additional superintendent of police (in-charge),Vishnuvardhan, tight security has been arranged.

With the death of Sharath, the case pertaining to murder attempt on him has been transformed into murder case. The case has been registered in the town police station here.

Only cultureless people can throw stones during funeral procession. Why these people picked stones all the way from Mangalore to Puttur? Do you have any idea. Do you think anybody will dare to invite trouble by throwing stones at peoples numbering more than 2000. That is also during tense situation. Use some mind if you have it. These people not fit to live as human being.
As like you said I don't say these people not fit to live in this world. Everybody has the right to live. Nobody wants to die.

Time for all secular thinking Hindu's to introspect by questioning themselves is it prudent to support Hinduism for political cause.

How many more young lives have to be lost/sacrificed to make these people to realize that violence breeds violence and communal ism never brings peace? The loss is for the parents and dependents of this young man and no body will care about it from tomorrow. So young people please please realize this truth and work positively to build and not break, to heal and not hurt, to love and not hurt...let us keep our religion within our four walls as our relationship with God and give preference to humanity. Look what is happening in Waste Bengal? If a mob can indulge in voilence based on face book post, why police in Mangalore are silent on Mangalore Muslims FB post? This shows police are in hand with these jihadis and going soft based on government instructions.

You see, back when Native American cultures thrived across America, the tribes had wars against each other much like how you have your communal wars. They united when the American settlers moved in with the Army and today, it's all over.

If this continues, you will have them make tighter laws and sell you shit you don't need like surveillance drones to police the streets, paid with your tax money, only to tax you more. Still I can't believe tSarath is gone. Just a few days ago on Sat May 27th, 2017 during my annual vacation in B. C. Road, I had given him my clothes to wash and iron. We had a very cordial chat. He kept asking me about my job in Qatar, my life there without a married bachelor status? He seemed interested about Qatar economy, the Arabic people, the lifestyle, the oil etc More importantly the environment in Bombay - the crowded trains, the city, its lifestyle, the people, there and so on. Despite being busy as usual with his work, he liked to talk to me. He had a very cute smile, always lent a patient hearing too. He seemed an interested person in different subjects (according to me). I remember before leaving his laundry, I happened to glance inside his small shop and was stunned to see so many clothes, sarees, pants, shirts tied in bundles and piled on the ground waiting to be picked for washing and ironing. Mine being a bit urgent, I kept pacifying him to give my cleaning and ironing a priority. To this he told me that this month (May) being a very busy one for marriages and poojas and so on, his workers were on holiday. He inquired of my return train to Bombay. He promised me to pick up my clothes the next Saturday. I told him that Sunday 4th June I would be travelling. I kept pressing him for an early date and remember vividly his naughty charming smile. He convinced me on no less than 5 occasions “not to worry”. I found something in him as a young boy, not once did he get upset despite me pressing him. Difficult to get such patient listeners in today's’ age. That smile and convincing haunts me. On the promised day, I went to his laundry and was surprised he indeed had kept his word. Despite not having sufficient change to return, he shuffled out his brown wallet from his trouser & paid back my balance of Rs. 5.00 all in coins - Re 1 denomination. He was a man of promises. I still carry fond memories of my visit to his laundry. Alas, it will be only memories now.

    RIP Sharath!!
What a terrible incident wherein n young innocent, sole breadwinner, of a family has been killed mercilessly just coz he was a member of some outfit??
Connecting the recent violent incidents occurring, DK is taking the lead as a communal hotbed with no signs of abating, thanks to the regular meetings, hate speeches given by leaders of various self styled fringe groups!
In the melee, all sorts of groups with vested interests will further leverage their malicious agendas!
Somewhere, immediately, this process of revenge should be put to an end or the future peace quotient of this, once peaceful n beautiful region, will be in jeopardy!
Now, it is in the hands of youngsters to open up their minds n stay away from trouble makers, getting brainwashed by hate speeches in the name of religion, caste etc n create n atmosphere of peace n harmony if their next generation is to live in peace!

Best possible way to maintain peace, law & order in mangalore is to put behind the bars all oragnization leaders even though they are affliated with hindu or muslim organization all should be sent to counselling centre for few months.
Upon completion of counselling both muslim & himdu organization leaders of particular areas should assigned with various tasks to upheld brotherhood rather than religions!!!!
Another way to curb such activities is to create a new party where leaders of both hindu & muslim organization as a party of brotherhood by kicking of all religious related party i.e congress, bjp, sdpi, jds, cpm o any other parties which will not give any chance to sow seeds of communalism among people & society can live happily without any fear

You should ask Kalladka Bhat to stop spewing venom. Have you seen any upper caste men get killed?

Bhat and his band of brothers are always safe and those who get killed or land up behind bars are usually brainwashed in shakhas.

Sad to see innocents are being killed in such a manner. Why no arrests so far? Human life has no value. Killers should be arrested soon and should be hanged. No mercy. Human life is precious and we don't want to see Mangalore turning out to be UP or Bihar due to communal politics. Time has come to show doors to politicians and leaders who vomit communal venom irrespective of religion. Everyone is same in front of constitution. Hope people will realise the importance of peace and shun these hatred mongers. These communal leaders/politicians are not getting killed instead innocent people are shedding blood. Rest in peace Sharath. May God grant his family strength to bear this loss.

The killing of Hindus in coastal Karnataka is just the beginning of fully pledged Jehadi Terrorism like in Kashmir, Bengal, Kerala.

Only the government of the oligarchy for electoral benefit, who have been pushing for the cause of ideology and people with vested interests have put pressure on the authorities not to arrest suspected terrorists earlier. With political support and foreign Financial assistance what else do you need to convert peaceful coast into terrorist laboratory?
The flock is a massive migration of people from Kerala, which is a neighboring terrorist factory. Here, Hindus do not have the opportunity of self-defense.

Protest against these incidents on social media will land you in jail with fake charges of disturbing communal harmony. But Pro Jehadi page "Mangalore Muslims" openly threatened to kill hindu leaders and rejoiced over recent killings. No action taken over them, infact govt didn't even care to investigate.

Continuous fostering of fringe elements has lead to flourish jehadi activities in Karnataka. It's definitely not a communal clash. This is a genuine Eslamist jehadi terrorism. Culprits are being protected by teming these incidents as communalism and act of the misguided.
Mangalore is another day away to become West Bengal, Kerala, Kashmir. Hindus who supported these terrorists for foolish Ideology are unknowingly waiting for fate of the Kashmiri Pandits.
    6
If the Central Department of Defense, Home Department and Intelligence Bureau don't control these activities soon Terror oufits of Bhatkal will triumph over Coast. It is an example infront of our eyes due to underestimation, negligence of concerned Authorities extremists have succeeded to convert Bhatkal into Global Terror Hub to export terrorists.

Everyone is ashamed of what happened and is sad, pray for the soul and give suggestions whereby such things shouldn't repeat in the future rather than adding fuel to the fire. When situations Go out of hand the people of all communities will suffer. Peace lovers dont play politics, rather try to bring in solutions to help the situation.

So if RSS guys are killed then you are calling the killers as Terrorists, so what about Muslims getting killed by RSS and Hindutva goons? Patriot?? No matter you RSS give any tag for Muslims or try to suppress us, the more you suppress the more we rise and history is witness to it.
So the best solution is to shun these Brahmanshahi RSS groups and it's ideology and follow India's constitution & your true vedic Hinduism so that peace will prevail in India and will lead to countries unity and development.

A precious life has been lost. The bread winner of a poor family has been snatched away. Leave aside the reason, leave aside the community he belonged to, leave aside whether he deserved to die or not. I am not going to debate on that. All I am worried is about his parents and his sister who according to this report, is unmarried. What is their fate? Who is going to look after them? You think the politicians who fan the fires of hatred will do that? At the most they will give the family some money and how long is that going to last? Are they going to take care of his parents and his sister till the end? No way. The politicians have done their job, they have ignited the fire of hatred and now the people have to fight against each other and face the consequences. Parents will lose their sons and it hardly matters which community you belong to. The old parents will suffer and besides paying some lip service, the politicians will not do anything more. My question to the young people is whether it is worth listening to the politicians and doing anything that will endanger your lives? Ultimately it is the politicians who are going to benefit and the workers will only have to pay with their lives. Today it is Sharath, tomorrow it could be x. y or z. Violence is a vicious circle. Put an end to this. Stop following the politicians blindly. Think about your near and dear ones. Let the politicians go to hell. Turn a deaf ear to their provocations. Remember, ultimately you are going to be the losers and the politicians will benefit at your cost.
