Mangaluru Jun 22: Assuring stringent action against the culprits of Ashraf Kalayi murder case, ADGP Alok Mohan said that four teams have been formed in the district to nab the murderers.

Addressing mediapersons here on Thursday, June 22 he said, "Four teams have been formed who are broadly investigating the murder case. We will not spare the culprits and will see that they are nabbed at the earliest. We have got certain clues releated to the case and our teams are investigating all the incidents starting from the Vitla incident. We are thoroughly investigating if there is any rowdy element involved in the murder case."

When queried about the planned protest at BC Road on June 25, he said, "We do not know much about it. Section 144 has been clamped till June 27 and more than five people should not be assembling in a single place. However, there is exemption for religious programmes."

"Police and patrolling personnel have been increased to maintain law and order in the district. We have deployed police personnel from Udupi, Chikkamagluru and Karwar. District armed forces from Udupi and Chikkamagluru too have been deployed," he added.

"I had earlier told that there was lapse in law and order in the district. The IG is yet submit the report on it. Action will be taken against the guilty," he concluded.

It may be recalled, Ashraf Kalayi, president of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) Ammunje zonal unit, was hacked to death in broad daylight at Benjanapadavu on June 21.

It is good to see that A.D.G.P. has taken the responsibility to take stern action against the murders. Indeed Mr. Alok Mohan says what he means and means what he says. Under his directions and advice, it is a question of a short time before the culprits are apprehended and stringent action taken against them.

All law abiding citizens should come forward and help the department of law and order with whatever information they have.

if the strict action was taken during earlier murder cases then these criminals might have think twice before doing the crimes. unfortunately those murder cases were handled with political color, & even criminals are safeguarded by withdrawing the cases. govt should take strict action without any votebank politics. criminals are criminals & for them there is no religion or caste.

Josssey, you will see 'Real Action' once Section 144 is withdrawn....you cannot have Section 144 for ever...

Lets see how many people will assemble in KPB protest and how many in Rai's favour...Looks like '144 Party' is scared in 'Show of Strength'...that's why 144to hide their weakness!!!,,,

Wait and watch....you will get your action soon Sir...
