Kundapur, Jun 7: The minor girl from Amasebail in the taluk, who had attempted suicide by consuming poison out of frustration created by three men who used to harass her, is fighting for her life at KMC Hospital, Manipal. In the meanwhile, one of the three harassers of the girl, identified as Vinay Shetty Mailgodu (29) was arrested by the police from Bengaluru.

On Tuesday, the statement of the girl was recorded in the presence of a judicial magistrate. Women police, police personnel of Amasebail station, and the judicial magistrate were present when the statement was recorded. A case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has already been registered in Amasebail police station.

It is reported that the girl told the magistrate that since the last two months, Prasad Hegde, Prashant Hege and Vinay Shetty used to block her path and behave with her in an ugly way. They used to force her to fall in love with them, she said. On June 2, Prasad Hegde called her over phone and pressurized her to come to Bengaluru failing which he threatened to harm her parents. She said she was overcome by fear because of this threat and tried to end her life.

The girl happens to be the only daughter of the family which ekes out a living by working as agricultural labourers. Recently, the girl's mother had started to work for a cashew factory to help the family and brighten her daughter's future. The girl had finished SSLC education and used to clean cashew nuts at home till midnight everyday. She also was undergoing training in tailoring. Her three tormentors seemed determined to destroy her dreams and turn her life hellish.

The condition of the girl, who had consumed rat poison, continues to be precarious, doctors stated. Amasebail station house officer, Sudarshan, said that police teams are trying their best to arrest the two absconding youngsters.

I hope those lawyers who will fighting the case for molesters and monsters will think good of the girl whom they are going to cross examining in the court. These lawyers should also realise that they have a mother, sister and daughters in their house. So think twice before defending these monsters as they need to be in jail for life. These are not boys as stated but grown up and matured men with monster behaviour if released will be a threat to other girls in Kundapur.

These 3 youths who have harassed the innocent, agricultural worker's daughter for their own lust, can they allow the same to their own sisters, mothers by others.

If the same would have done by others to their own sisters, what might be their reaction.

Unfortunately, always the weaker section suffer by these so called high class affluent people. In fact they are worst than the vultures.

These rats, who forced this innocent girl to consume rat poison, must be given a 'full dose of their own medicine' in front of the entire public, without giving them any further treatment. This will also be a proper warning to all other jobless rats to return to their rat-holes, and mind their own business.

They do not deserve the luxury of a jail cell. Then only, will India's female population be able to live in peace and dignity.

Parents are responsible for not guiding these youths. Mother of Shivaji telling stories of great people to him always and after listening he also decided to become great. But nowadays mothers of modern children buy toy guns and buy video games of fighting and watch English/Hindi movies instead of telling stories, children also grow same like these youths. Special counselling only is the remedy for such sick youths. Now a days parents have no time to spend with their children. Father is busy mother also busy watching television with these children . Selling land and no need to work. After charbi somebody's land enjoying somebody
