Bengaluru, May 26: A job aspirant from Udupi was molested recently by a man who posed as a senior bank officer. Police are on the lookout for the culprit.

The incident took place on May 15.

The victim, a resident of Udupi, had come to the city to appear for an interview for a leading bank on Bannergatta Road. She had applied for the post of customer support executive.

When she was outside the bank, a man approached her and introduced himself as Rohan, a senior officer from the bank’s human resources department. He told the woman that she had failed to clear the fourth round test and asked her to accompany him for a discussion outside.

When the woman refused, he tried to drag her into the car. But she managed to escape and run into the bank. Man fled from the spot within no time.

When the victim enquired with senior officers about Rohan, they said that no one by that name was working with the bank.

Subsequently the victim went to the police station and lodged a complaint.

The man had shared his phone number with the victim during the conversation. Police found out that the number was registered in Uttar Pradesh.

Police have collected CCTV footage from the bank to ascertain the identity of the culprit.

A case under IPC Section 354 a (sexual harassment) stands registered at the police station.

That woman used her presence of mind at the right time which helped her to get out of this situation. She was also bold enough to go back to the same bank and complained to the bank officials about what happened. Now it is work of the police department to nab the idiot as they have CCTV footage of the person.

Rape is one of the most terrible crimes on earth and it happens every few minutes. When these type of vultures are around, the girls have to save themselves. The govt should allow girls to buy automatic sprinter knives and a few hundred bobbitts will bring some sense to these rapists.
