Mangaluru: Police commissioner Chandra Sekhar transferred, Satheesh Kumar to replace him

Mangaluru, May 25: City police commissioner M Chandra Sekhar has been transferred.

The order issued by the state government on Thursday May 25.

IPS officer Satheesh Kumar has been appointed in Chandra Sekhar's place.

Chandra Shekar has been tranferred as inspector genral of police (IGP) of the criminal investigation department (CID) and economic offences, Bengaluru. He had taken charge as police commissioner of Mangaluru on January 3, 2016.

N Satheesh Kumar, and IPS officer of 2003 batch, has been tranferred from his post of the deputy IGP and director of (personal and enviorment), KSRTC, Bengaluru to serve as police commissioner of Mangaluru city commissionerate.

Satheesh Kumar is a native of Tamil Nadu. He has earlier served as SP of Dakshina Kannada and of Bidar districts, and as DCP (administration) in Bengaluru.

    Mr Chandrashekar has rendered all possible help to me to carry out my duties as The Chief Traffic Warden, Mangalore. I have never received a !NO! from him relating to any suggestions or recommendations made me with regard to Traffic situations and even with regard to Law and order and crime. People in general had great regard and respect for him for his great qualities of heart and mind.

    One of the best police officer Mangalore had in recent years.Might have undergone good and bad event during the course of his term here.Many might be under political pressure.In toto good work done as Mangalore is a typical laboratory of all types offences.
