Mangaluru: Lorry enters house- one injured, providential escape for others

Mangaluru, May 18: A lorry hit a house at Sevanthigudde near Thokkottu on Wednesday, May 18 and one person sustained injuries. Other people from the house were saved as they were visiting the house of the neighbour.

Lalitha (35) wife of Rajendra is the person injured. Her children Deepika, Yogish and mother Veeramma were saved as they were at neighbour’s house.

Ground leveling work was going on at the house of Ashraf at Sevanthigudde. A tipper lorry was called to transport mud from the place. The mud-laden lorry was moving on slope road and the driver lost control of the vehicle which resulted in an accident. The lorry stopped after hitting the house from the rear side.

Ullal police have registered a case against the lorry driver.
