Smart City needs smart people to listen, plan and execute smart projects in minimum time frame Mangalore. Here is a list.
    1. Pedestrian pathways of reasonable standard do not exist at all. People either walk on the road or in the mud. Open drains in several places
    2. Roads are widened and concreted, neither there are hard shoulders nor storm water drains consequently water flows on the road or enters someones compound during the rainy season .
    3. Street lighting is still unsatisfactory.
    4. No drainage connected to many wards as yet
    5. Two land marks, the fly overs and the surrounding in the city are terribly messy and badly maintained.
    6. No car parking facilities at all except a few places in the city.
    7. No proper facilities for dumping garbage which in most places in thrown on the road side for collection.
    8. Many of the concreted roads are still dusty because roads and road sides are not maintained.
    9. Concreted Roads are dug and left and not properly restored.
    10. BSNL, Airtel, and other operators keep digging all around Mangalore city throughout the year. There is no, survey, no proper long term planning and no one to question them.
11.Unauthorized hoardings, advertisements all around the city
    12. Street vendors everywhere unchecked.
    List is endless......
Hope these crores are smartly spent for developing our city though smart city is a distant dream.

Mangalore is under BJP ruling since 1991 for last 25 years. It must have already achived smartness title more than any other city of India. Since BJP came to power it has only became laboratory of Hindutva to serve south India in the interest of Sangh parivar.

Other than smart city of virtual title BJP has nothing to offer for this city. In other hand all existing major industries are the contribution of Congress which BJP blames it for 70 years past.

Is this 'smart city' still be provided security by Bajrang dal in the name shoddy manpower supplies? Can BJP 'burnol' sales team list one major BJP project in last 25 years of BJP ruling in the city?
