Mangaluru: Youth arrested from Tannirbavi for consuming drugs

Mangaluru, Mar 30: A youth found to have been high on drugs was arrested by the city crime branch police from Tannirbavi area on Wednesday March 29.  He has been identified as Azhar alias Ajju (29) from Casba Bengre village.

After having been tipped off about the presence of a youth near Tannirbavi beach after consuming ganja, city crime branch police inspector, Kumareshan, visited the spot. It is said that the youth initially tried to mislead the police by claiming his name to be Ajit.

He later confessed to have consumed the said drug. The police confirmed through medical tests that he was intoxicated by drug consumption. A case stands registered against him in police station.
