Mangaluru: Milestones fun fair on April 2 - Join hands for Autism awareness

Mangaluru, Mar 28: Milestones, an Autism and early intervention centre is all set to launch a day-long awareness campaign on Autism with a 'fun fair' and fund-raiser events for the cause. The campaign themed 'Rock, spin and flap', observing the World Autism Awareness Day will be held on the ground floor of The Forum Fiza Mall, from 11 am to 8 pm on Sunday, April 2.

Events such as scavenger hunt, treasure hunt, raffle draw, toys and books donation drive will be part of the fete that will have games and gift hampers aplenty for children.

Food, snacks, clothes, accessories will be available at the fete.

A cultural programme will be held at 6.30 pm, where budding artistes from Mangaluru will showcase their talent, which will include a musical concert by Jacqueline and Band Charitra. Acoustic Rush will also weave magic into music at the singing concert. A lineup of dance performances, will also entertain. Besides, the prizes for the games and the raffle draw will be distributed at the cultural programme.

The raffle draw will be held at 8 pm. Tickets for the draw are available at Rs 100 per ticket.

Those present are also welcome to contribute to the 'Toys and Books Donation' drive that will be a part of the fair and bring smiles on those young faces.


Pre-Registered Games

Spot games for children will be held at regular intervals at the fair. The scavenger hunt and treasure hunt though, will require a pre-registration with a fee of Rs 500 each. The winning teams of both the hunts stand to win a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each.

Scavenger hunt will be held at 10.30 am. Each team can have only three participants at most.

Treasure hunt will be held at 3 pm. A team can have a minimum of two and a maximum of five participants.

Besides helping with fundraising, the stalls, activities and games are all being set up to entertain people from all walks of life. Milestones welcomes interested individuals to be a part of the campaign and showcase their business or talents by booking a stall or counter at the mall for Rs 2,500.
