Doha, Mar 19: Vision Events, a newly formed event management company presented 'Muru Muttugalu', a very popular Kannada comedy drama on Friday March 17 at MES School girls' wing auditorium.

A team of like-minded people comprising Ramachandra Shetty, Deepak Shetty and others came together with a vision to promote culture, arts, education, sports, corporate and private events and hence formed 'Vision Events' event management company in Doha recently. Keeping in mind the core value of their vision and to cater to the enthusiastic drama and theatre lovers of Kannada community in Qatar, as a launch event, they decided to host the 45-year-old 'Roopakala Team' from Karnataka, India in Qatar.

The evening was graced by Milan Arun, president of Indian Cultural Centre Qatar (ICC) as the chief guest, with Praveen Kumar Shetty, chairman, Fortune Group of Hotels, Dubai, Fayaz C K, business development manager of Al Zaman Exchange, the event sponsor, Ravi Shetty, managing director of Advanced Technical Services (ATS), Qatar, Viresh Manangi, general manager of Al-Muftah Contracting as guests of honour.

The evening began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the ladies followed by Vision Events logo unveiling by the dignitaries. Thereafter, a short programme was held during which Deepak Shetty, partner of Vision Events briefed the audience on the profile of Vision Events. All the guests in their message to the audience congratulated the team of Vision Events on initiating the birth of the event management company and wished the very best for their future. Partners Deepak Shetty and Ramachandra Shetty presented mementoes to all the guests who were present on the dais.

The director of the play Satish Pai was honoured and felicitated by the dignitaries with flowers, shawl, mementos and gifts. He rendered a touching speech in return to the felicitation and thanked Vision Events for giving them the opportunity to perform in Qatar. The evening was beautifully compered by Dr Padmashree Shetty who mesmerized the audience with her fluent Kannada.

With a beautifully erected stage setting, Roopkala Nataka Mandali's 'Mooru Muthu', an evergreen superhit drama started with a big applause by the audience. During the next three hours, superb performances by all the artistes who put in their life and soul into presenting such a tremendous rib-tickling comedy play mesmerized the audience who did not even realize the time. The credit should go to the director Satish Pai who had full command on his troupe. It was like a family affair for him as he shared the stage with his brother Santosh Pai who made the crowd go crazy with his brilliant performance as a deaf. They were supported by various other enthusiastic co-actors. On the whole it was a different kind of drama which was a blend of real comedy, tilting music, tickling dialogues, beautiful costumes bundled with best performance by each and every character to make it a unique package.

The evening was enjoyed by one and all who had gathered to witness the maiden event of Vision Events.
