Bengaluru: Feb 22 (DHNS): The police arrested the director, managing director and coordinator of the nursery school in connection with the sexual assault on a three-year-old girl by the school’s supervisor.?

They are Dr Veena Ashok, the director, Kingston, the MD and Praveen N, the coordinator. The police booked them under IPC?188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and produced before the court.?However, the trio obtained bail in the court itself.

V?S?Ugrappa, chairman of the Legislative Committee on Women and Child Safety, visited the school with committee members on Tuesday evening.

“We discussed the issue with parents who want stern action against the guilty staff and management. Some of them told me that their children too underwent a similar ordeal,” Ugrappa told DH.

Medical examination

“The committee strictly directed the jurisdictional police to immediately register cases involving sexual assaults on children. The victim’s father took her to Sakra World Hospital for medical examination as he did not want the examination to be conducted at a government hospital.?

The report indicates that there was sexual assault on the child. However, I have directed the police to take the victim to the government hospital for a medical examination. Instructions were given to the police to compulsorily take victims to government hospitals for the medical examinations in such cases,” he said.
