Doha: KSQ hosts vibrant Vanita Pratibha Sambrama, Sandalwood actress Shwetha graces event

Doha, Feb 14: 'Simpalagi Love Story' fame Sandalwood actress Swetha Srivatsav graced the 'Vanita Pratibha Sambrama' a talent hunt show for community ladies, organized by Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ), a prominent frontline community group in Qatar. The event was held on Friday February 10 evening at Ashoka hall, ICC - Doha, Qatar in a traditional and trendy way.

The programme started with lighting of the lamp by committee members, followed by numbers performed by talented Bengaluru artistes Ratnamala Prakash, Indu Vishwanath and Pancham Halibandi.

The evening programme continued with a fashion show by talented community lady members amid colourful lights.

A brief stage programme was then held. KSQ president H K Madhu, ladies wing coordinator Shilpa Shetty, children's wing secretary Savious Crasta escorted the chief guest of the evening Hameeda Kader, vice-principal of MES School and guest of honour of the event actress Swetha Srivatsav to the stage.

President Madhu delivered the welcome keynote address. In her address, Hameeda gave a powerful speech on women's empowerment. Swetha expressed her gratitude to KSQ and delivered some of her movie dialogues, much to the delight of the audience.

Children's wing secretary Savious Crasta read out names of meritorious students who excelled in academics, subject toppers in arts, sports and science. KSQ felicitated the students with mementos. The meritorious students were: Thejas C S, Yoshita Kanchan, Safa Mohammed Saleem, Likitha J M, Neha Shetty, Pruthvi Shetty and Ashral Castelino.

Dr Rohini Dorre compered the programme and ladies wing coordinator Shilpa Shetty delivered the vote of thanks. KSQ felicitated all artistes Ratnamala, Indu, Pancham and Swetha Srivatsav with mementos and shawls.

The programme then continued with songs by artistes Ratna Mala, Indu and Pancham, who enthralled packed audience with their melodies voices. Various Kannada sentimental songs, folk songs Hindi Bollywood songs entertained the audience.

The programme concluded with prize distribution to the winners of various competitions conducted by KSQ for ladies and children on February 3 at Bhavans School premises. The winners were as follows:
