Bengaluru: State Congress to seek action against Poojary, Vishwanath and Sharief

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Feb 9: Congress legislators from the state have urged chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president and home minister, G Parameshwar, to stop veteran leaders like H Vishwanath, Jaffer Sharief and Janardhana Poojary, who have often launched open tirade against the party and its leaders, and creating discomfiture for them.

At the parliamentary party meeting held here on Wednesday February 8, Narendra, who represents Hanur constituency, raised the topic. He pointed out that leaders like Poojary, Vishwanath and C K Jaffer Sharief have been taking the party and its government in the state to task repeatedly in hostile language. He said that these developments have been creating embarrassment for the party and its cadres. His demand to stop these leaders from making derisive comments about party and its leaders received all-round support at the meeting.

It is gathered that both the CM and KPCC president promised to raise this point at the coordination committee meeting and arrive at a suitable decision.

Sources revealed that the legislators at the meeting minced no words in condemning social welfare minister, H Anjaneya, for his failure to provide power connection to borewells dug under the ambitious 'Gangakalyana' scheme of the government. They said that the department had permitted these farmers to rig borewells but once they are dug, they are lying unutilized because of the inertia of the department, they stated.

At the meeting, the CM said that with effect from April this year, every BPL family in the state will get eight kg of rice instead of five kg permitted now. The CM expressed resentment at the large scale absence of legislators at the legislative sessions. He wanted all the ministers to be present in the house without exception, and instructed the legislators to attend the sessions, and show unity in facing verbal attack of the opposition.

Speaking after the meeting concluded, KPCC working president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, said that the meeting decided to act against the above three leaders and that the party's central committee would be asked to serve show cause notices to Janardhana Poojary, C K Jaffer Sharief, and H Vishwanath and take further steps as may be necessary thereafter.

I have no much expectations from any politicians be they in ruling party or otherwise.I am an ordinary persons belong to 1% population paying IT since years though now retired.
I had some expectations this time from new budget presented after demonetization....but alas it was a peanut benefit. More than that of envisaged benefit in new IT rules, I had spent on buying toor dal since May 2014.

There should be a age limit (Max. 70) to contest elections and to become ministers then these problems will solve automatically. I hope Congress will bring this rule in their party soon. If you bring this rule most of young generation will support you. People are fedup with these nautanki old aged politicians.....

Due to old age all leaders are with crack mind. Now all are trying to spoil their party image.
For any internal issue;dispute and misunderstanding, a patriot leader must try to settle with in the party i/o on road.
No one leaders having self respect NOW. A white LUNGI, A Kadhi shirt, one deshi Ghadi a mobile with 100chelas means they are the super leaders rulers of INDIA.

They have enjoyed power and jaffer sharieef khandan also is in politics given MP tickets what else do they want . All these have enjoyed power in many ways so time to say goodbye ..
Parliament should pass a bill for people to stick to political parties for 10 years ..polticians are now shifting parties whenever they feel like and making money at the end of the day its public s hard earned money being looted.
Power also speaks non sense like MR MODI attacking former prime ministers rather the focusing on governanace .

When People reaches 70 Plus ,they loose mental balance and memory loss? Why can't they give way to younger generation? In this context we may appreciate LKA and MM Joshi of BJP.Even though these yesteryear's leaders not able to bring votes ,they may give fodder to media and oppn parties.BUT selfishness in them is visible. And importantly,SMK/SHERIF niyyath are shameful and bad precedent to new political generation .

There is no place for honest and clean persons in Congress. The party will try to finish India if they don't get power for sure. They think that National wealth is their ancestral property.

Not only in Congress, in any political party. It is not dictatorship. When they bark they must know the impact on the party's functioning. Recently you know between Yeddy and Eshwarappa of BJP. Over here also you may be reading about that.
