US suspends travel ban after judge stayed Trump's order

Washington, Feb 4 (AFP): US authorities today suspended President Donald Trump's controversial ban on travelers from seven Muslim countries, following a court ruling that blocked its enforcement.

"We have reversed the provisional revocation of visas," a US State Department spokesman told AFP.

"Those individuals with visas that were not physically cancelled may now travel if the visa is otherwise valid," the official said.

The State Department official added that the Trump administration is "working closely with the Department of Homeland Security and our legal teams" pending a full review of a complaint filed by Washington state's attorney general, which filed the challenge.

Haven't the opposing citizens and parties voted against trump???!!!

Supposedly they voted how come Donald John Trump won the elections overwhelmingly/Land slide victory to his election promises to citizens.

Trump is a fighter. He will not sleep until his promises are accomplished.

Obama has made a mess in USA and supported ISIS. To make it correct it takes time.

GOD BLESS UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE WHOLE WORLD.

India's chaaiwaala has made all U-Turns from most of his promises.

Other counties ban entry silently. America is a great country governed by laws. Trump should know better that the US Constitution does not allow one man to dictate policies. Having said that, entry to USA is a privilege and not a right. Islamic counties and Islamic Organization need to make every effort to receive all Muslim refugees as per their religious obligation and not encourage their going to non-Islamic counties..

The U.S. never bad a President like this having no regard for the rule of law and the role of judicial and legislative branches in the Government. He stared signing executive orders like filling the money order form, and got a hot slapping on the face due to the autocratic attitude.

This is working within the framework of democracy unlike in India BJP would have pressurized the court so much that court wouldn't have interfered at all. BJP is anyway corrupt, it is spreading its corrupt venom all over and making everything poison.

Keep crying! Why you not bothered Kuwait banning visas to several Muslim majority countries? You demand more & more where there is freedom and democracy, which countries don't give freedom even to open your mouth , you fold your tail and surrender

Don't speak of freedom and liberty when you support people like Trump don't wear a fake mask when it suits you....Kuwait banning is a old news from 2011..that is not now in place....unfortunately Trump fans got excited after they recently discovered it...By the way you are equating a dictatorship in Kuwait with Trumps America...Thanx for accepting Trumps America is nothing different from Arab dictators...FYI Muslims didn't elect any leader like Trump nor do I support such people if it ever happens so do your homework before rabble rousing...
