Bengaluru: Extra-marital affair ending in 2 deaths blossomed on Facebook

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 15: Love was kindled between Amit, an advocate who was killed in Soladevanahalli shootout, and his paramour, Shruti Gowda, who ended life later by hanging herself, on Facebook, it is gathered.

Another curious information relating to these deaths arising out of murder and suicide, is that Shruti's husband, Rajesh, was alerted about this illicit relationship by Amit's wife. Rajesh and his father, Gopalakrishna, who surrendered in Soladevanahalli police station after the murder of Amit revealed this information to the police.

Amit, resident of MEI Layout here, and Shruti Gowda, working as panchayat development officer and staying at Kaggalipura, came to know each other about seven to eight months back through social website, Facebook. After they exchanged details and cellphone numbers, they used to meet often, it is said. Growing suspicious about the behaviour of her husband, Amit's wife checked his Facebook account and realized that he was exchanging messages with a lady that were outright appalling.

Amith and Shruti

Amit's wife then got in touch with Rajesh, telling him about her suspicion about his wife's relationship with her husband, and asking him to exercise control over his wife. When confronted by Rajesh, Shruti reportedly said that they were just friends on Facebook. On various occasions, Shruti, working at Railway Gollahalli, used to come home late, and got angry when questioned, saying that she had too much work to handle.

Unknown to Shruti, Rajesh recently got GPS fitted to Shruti's car when getting it serviced. Through this, the family could gather information about Shruti's movements. Their 11-year-old marriage which resulted in two daughters, came to an abrupt end after Rajesh and Gopalakrishna traced her location, reached near Acharya College near Soladevanahalli, after which Gopalakrishna fired at Amit and killed him. It is said that Amit and Shruti were in compromising position inside the car when they reached there. Before going there, Rajesh had called Shruti, who said she was participating in an official meeting and would not be available till evening. She also forwarded an old photo of a meeting through WhatsApp to convince him, it is learnt.

Nearly every man and woman must have looked lustfully at another's wife or husband in their lifetime. Only some have the courage to take it to the physical level and the only sad thing about these two is that they got caught as she was married to a man whose father was public figure. Other than that they might have been divorced by now and might not have made it to today's page.

Marriage is not a sale deed like many of us think it to be. There is nothing binding on each other, if there is anything in a marriage it needs to be given and/or reciprocated. In today's world most of us have no time for each other and unfortunately in this situation we turn to the great devil in our hands our android to give us solace and solace we find in Facebook, tinder, and many other such apps.

In today's world where nothing can be left to chance, there is the urgent need to intermittently introspect our marriages as to whether or not each of us party to this 'sale deed' are fulfilling the requirements of this contract to the dot in order to avoid shooting the other's paramour on one fateful day, when truly the onus of this fateful day could as well as be ours and ours alone.

In many middle eastern countries Extra martial affairs, Adultery..etc is punishable under life imprisonment or death penalty. This lady went out of her mind just for the sake of sex .. such people should not get marry to someone to destroy others life instead they have keep a partner every single month from every different religion to taste different meal. Thank you.
I know one lady in Mumbai had extra martial affair and her husband was in ship, when husband came to know he started drinking and smoking latter died from cancer.

Rajesh and Gopalkrishna murdered Amith is not correct.Whatever may be the reason we have no right to hurt(forget about killing)anyone. We have a law. If we find one's partner is not faithful can divorce. So with anger we should never take such action like killing or hurting someone or committing suicide. Only THE CREATOR has the authority to give and take life. Now as a reparation those who involved in taking away the life of someone else should give new life to someone like helping a orphan or widow or the most needy of the society. Then should no more sin like murdering or suicide.Surely Almighty is merciful if you repent and make up for the sin that is committed.

I feel a woman would never enter into an extra marital relationship unless there is something seriously wrong in her marriage.
Instead of an illicit relationship, they could have divorced and get married.

In chandigar, a business man did a love marriage with her school girfriend and in 18 years married life, they are blessed with 2 children. Everything was fine and full of happiness untill a jim trainer entered into their life.Woman got fatally attracted with that man and killed her husband to maintain their affair. In this case, where is the serious problem in their life?why did she start this illicit affair?

In hyderabad,a woman also married her lover and in their life, they are blessed with two daughter. After that 25 years woman fatally attracted with 15 year boy and killed her husband.
It is not always true that a woman would enter into a extra marrital relation only beacuse of serious problem in their married life.It depends on her morality and respect for marriage like sacred relation.

Shruti being a married for 11 years and going out of the ways for sexual pleasure, (extra marital affair) is very much deplorable. Mistrust and adultry is very much disgusting to happen. In most cases such illicit affair ends in tragedy or destruction of a happily married life. (sor of charbi/ushna)

You don't know completely what lead to extra marrital affair. Sometimes, after spending a married life of 10-15 years happily some people also fall in love with someone outside marriage. Due to extra marrital affair several families have been destroyed. In this age of social media, people get attracted to others despite having a good married life. See different crime story where many families have been destroyed due to extra marrital affair,a curse.

You don't know completely what lead to extra marrital affair. Many of the married women get involved in a extra marrital affair because of getting some extra spice in their life. There are several cases in which women want to get back romance in life that is missing after long years relationship of marriage. In most of the case, women secretly maintain affair without disturbing their married life.Several women get bored while staying with a man for several years.
So don't tell that women have extra marrital affair because of unhappiness. Economically independent women never fear to get involved in this affair. Despite having good married life women can start a affair with keeping a good ralation with husband.I have seen it.

    Shankar,
It is not always easy to get divorced from spouse while having a good family including two children.
I think, shruti should take divorce from her husband and carry out illicit relationship with her lover instead of lying and cheating on her spouse over one year. If she was not happy with Rajesh, she would simply get seperated from her husband. But she didn't.Being with husband in a marriage like sacred relation considering marriage as a just social need she gave priority to cheat her spouse. Most of the married women cheat in this way without disturbing married life.
