Mangaluru: Audio of Janet Productions' Konkani movie 'Sophiya' released

Mangaluru, Jan 9: The audio and teaser of the upcoming Konkani movie 'Sophiya' by Janet Productions were released in a glittering function at Forum Mall here on Sunday January 8.

Former principal of St Aloysius College Fr Prashanth Madtha released the audio CD.

Addressing the gathering, he said, "All of us should support the movie 'Sophiya' as this is the same team which produced the movie 'Noshibacho Khell' which turned out to be a blockbuster in Konkani film industry. I wish good luck to the entire team."

Lead actor of the movie Elton Mascarenhas called upon everyone to support the movie by watching it.

Lead actress Ester Noronha said, "Konkani is also a language of this land just like Tulu. So most of us can follow it and hence I request everyone to watch the movie and support the team."

Producer of the movie Janet Noronha, director Harry Fernandes, actors Stany Alvarez, Richard Sequiera, Ancy Paladka, singer Melwyn Peris, director of Daijiworld Audio Visual Studio Ashith Pinto and others were present.

    Great job. Would like to buy a copy on our next visit to Mangalore.

    The last Konkany movie we saw was more than four decades ago - "Mogh ani Mypass" produced by Capt. Merwyn Pinto. It was a 32 mm movie that we witnessed on a large screen at Central Talkies.
