Chikkamagaluru: Muthalik wants Datta Peetha to be entrusted to Hindus

Chikkamagaluru, Nov 21: "We have been carrying forward a fight since the last 15 years to convert Datta Peetha into a religious place meant exclusively for Hindus. But successive governments, which are thick-skinned, have not been responding to these efforts," said founder president of Sri Ram Sene, Pramod Muthalik.

Muthalik addressed a religious meeting held on the premises of Bola Rameshwara temple in the city on Sunday November 20.

"We are continuing with our fight to get rightful ownership of Datta Peetha peacefully and on democratic principles. But our patience too has a limit. Everyone knows what happened at Ayodhya in 1992. I am reminding the government about this incident again, and renewing our demand for handing over Datta Peetha to Hindus," he stated.
