Bantwal: Vittal police solve case of young missing girl within 48 hours

Bantwal, Nov 12: Vittal police found the girl who was reported missing from Kanyana within 48 hours.

The missing girl was found with a youth of another community at Naimarmoola near Kasargod on Friday, November 11.

Ganyashree (21) from Kanyana was missing from her house since November 9, afternoon. A case was registered on the basis of complaint received from her mother. Police who formed a special team swung into action. They conducted investigation from various angles.

Ganyashree was traced in a house in Naimarmoola within Vidyanagar police station limits with Kanyana resident Sameer (27).

Police took both of them into custody and released the youth after warning him and taking a written undertaking from him. As the girl refused to go with the mother, she has been sent to rehabilitation center in Mangaluru.

Bantwal rural police station sub-inspector Bharathi and staff Pravin Rai, Ramesh, Rakshith Rai, Bhavith Rai, Chitralekha and Keshavathi participated in the operation.
