13 militants killed in Afghanistan air strikes


Kabul, Mar 28 (IANS): At least 13 militants were killed in air strikes that targeted Taliban hideouts in Afghanistan's Kunduz province on Monday, a police official said.

"Aircraft conducted several sorties against Taliban hideouts at 6.00 a.m. (local time) in Dasht-e-Archi district on Monday," Xinhua quoted the official as saying.

The raids took place amid ongoing cleanup operations in the district and adjoining areas.

Taliban militants have yet to make comments.
