Kasargod, Sep 24: The Uttarakhand police arrested Satish Babu, the accused in the Sister Amala murder case on Wednesday September 23 night, it is revealed.
Satish Babu was nabbed from an ashram in Haridwar.

According to sources, Satish told the ashram authorities that he got stranded in Haridwar after losing all the cash he had with him. They grew suspicious over his behaviour and informed the police. Accordingly, police arrived at the ashram and interrogated him when he confessed to have committed the crime.
"A team of Kerala police has left for Haridwar," Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said on Thursday.
After picking up three close associates of Sathish Babu, the police cyber cell tracked him down to an ashram in Haridwar on Wednesday after he sent an SMS to his brother in Kerala.
Kerala Police then alerted their Haridwar counterparts who arrested Babu.
Sr Amala was found dead at Lisieux Carmelite convent in Pala on last Thursday, September 17. As per the autopsy report, the injuries inflicted above her forehead and behind her head resulted in her death.
On Wednesday, police had identified the murderer as Sathish Babu, hailing from Kasargod and his photo was also released.
The police received information about Sathis Babu following investigation conducted focusing mobile phone towers.
During preliminary investigation itself, the investigating team had found that the culprit was in Pala at the time of the murder.

Kasargod, Sep 24: Kasargod police have released the photos of a person who is allegedly involoved in the murder of a Catholic nun.
The name of the suspect is Satish Babu alias Prateesh Nair from Kuthikol near Kasargod.
The 69-year-old Catholic nun Sr Amala was found dead in her convent room at Pala near Kottayam on the morning of September 17. The police in Kottayam had suspected the murder and taken one person into custody later in relation to the case.
The person interrogated revealed the name of Satish Babu alias Prateesh Nair to have been involved in the murder of the nun, the sources said.
The murdered sister was leading a retired life.
Police are in the lookout for the suspect.
