Ekta Kapoor changes show title for 'spiritual reasons'


Mumbai, March 27 (IANS): TV tsarina Ekta Kapoor is said to have added the tagline “Yeh Kaisa Anurodh” to the title of her soap opera “Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar” due to spiritual and numerological reasons.

According to a source, Ekta visited Amritsar earlier this month to seek blessings in the city of the Golden Temple, and when she came back, she decided to add “Yeh Kaisa Anurodh” to the Sony Entertainment Television show.

The tagline is also said to be added keeping in mind the upcoming track of the show, which stars actors Ronit Roy and Pallavi Kulkarni as an estranged couple.

Meghna Naidu to play Ronit Roy's wife

Actress Meghna Naidu will be doing a cameo in the upcoming episode of popular courtroom drama series “Adaalat”. She will be playing lawyer K.D. Pathak's wife Shalini.

As per the sequence, Ronit, who essays the character of Pathak, will work on a new case which will leave him baffled after Shalini will go to the court and say that he is her husband. But Pathak has never accepted her publicly. She will also claim that he has physically tortured her in the past.

This is the first time Meghna and Ronit will be seen together onscreen.

Meghna has previously appeared in shows like “Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi” and “Jodha Akbar”. She has also been doing films for over a decade.

In order to de-stress themselves after hectic work schedules, the cast of popular comedy show “Chidiya Ghar” like to play the board game carrom and card game UNO.

“The cast of 'Chidiya Ghar' is like a family and every now and then it is important to connect with your family members. During our free time, we refrain from using mobile phones and connecting with our friends. I really enjoy playing games with my colleagues and love playing carrom,” Aditi Sajwan, who plays Koyal in the SAB TV show, said in a statement.

Apart from Aditi, the show features Rajendra Gupta, Paresh Ganatra, Sumit Arora, Saaransh Verma, Shafaq Naaz, Trishikha Tripathi, Jitu Shivhare and Ketan Karande.

Krystle D'Souza in talks for 'Mohi'

Actress Krystle D'Souza has been approached to take on the role of Anusha in the upcoming TV show "Mohi".

The story of the show is about a young tribal girl named Mohi who makes her weakest moment her biggest opportunity in life.

According to a source, Krystle, who has previously appeared in shows like “Ek Nayi Pehchaan", “Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil" and "Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai", is in talks with the producers to play Anusha, who is the second lead of the show.

"Mohi" will go on air in April on Star Plus.

Actresses Asha Negi and Wasna Ahmed have backed out of the show, citing various issues.
